cade missed an open three and a bunch of tough layups in the 4th.  but if you want to be a max player and an all star, you have to make those when it counts.  or at least draw fouls.

hey, its only one game.  and last year he looked great in game one against miami (also a loss).  so lets all settle down.

and besides, in the grand scheme of things you should want them to lose.  need that #5 pick again!

In a Monty offense where you stick him the corner, sure. But it’s not that hard to make him the screener, put him in the dunker spot, let him initiate the screen, or get him running off of off-ball screens. Especially now, when you have three other guys out there who can space (4’ish if you run him with Stew).

Another 4th quarter let down. It is refreshing to actually have a HC who seems to be engaged tho.

I feel like an engaged coach wouldn't get 6 men on the court.

Watching basketball 40+ years and outside of starting 6+ seniors on senior night, I don't think I have ever witnessed 6 men on the court.

Duren is so bad on defense.  Add Harris and Hardaway and they have to be the worst defensive frontcourt in the league.

The Pacers are no slouch!  I can see Detroit getting to 30 wins with this staff and roster.

That was really bad. New palyers and new coaches first game of the season. Lets hope thats all it was.
