Tigeraholic1 Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 No pic till win. @Deleterious thanks for the pickup on the last game. You know this could be all yours. Lots of perks. Quote
Hart Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 (edited) We just can't get enough stops. It seems like Cade and Jaden have both made leaps that you want on offense but it doesn't matter. We are not going to win very many games against good teams. Edited October 29, 2024 by Hart 1 Quote
buddha Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 0-4! seems an awful lot like last year's team..what we really need is a beat writer to tell us they'd be 2-2 if only ausar was playing. he's the glue that pulls it all together. Quote
Deleterious Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 Same results as last year which isn't shocking since its pretty much the exact same team. 1 Quote
buddha Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 for all of you who loved the tobias harris signing, he's been awful. still early of course, but the results have not been good. cade in the 4th quarter has been bad. cade in the first three quarters has been very good and much improved. he looks stronger and he's getting to the rim. you have to figure that at some point in his career the refs start to give him some respect? i imagine if he were on a team that wins games he would get that respect. but alas... NYLion Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 (edited) They might not even reach 16 wins this season. Cade, and the rest of the team, continue to be duds in the 4th when the opposition starts to take the game seriously. I feel like I'm saying this on repeat but you're never going to win many games in the NBA when your best player is worse than the opposition best player and Cade is one of the worst #1 options in the league. There's many other issues with the team but lacking a franchise player is one of the biggest issues. The NBA is all about starpower and the Pistons have none of it. Deleterious Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 I think its a mix. Cade and Ivey need to be better in the 4th quarter. But to be fair, they are out there playing 2 vs. 5 most nights on offense. A lot of people thought SGA wasn't very good either. OKC upgraded the talent around him and now he is an MVP candidate. Deleterious Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 Pistons individual 4th quarter stats last night: Holland: 2m43s 0-1 with 2 fouls no other stats Fontecchio: 7m28s 0-3 1pt 1 reb Stewart: 4m6s 0 shots 2 rebs Ivey: 5m47s 3-4 from the field 1 reb 1 TO 9 points Cade: 12m 2-8 4 reb 1 ast 3 TO 4 points Harris: 9m16s 0-3 1 reb 1 ast 0 points THJ: 10m43s 0-2 3 points no other stats Duren: 7m54s 1-1 4 rebs 1 block 2 points 6 total points from guys not named Cade or Ivey. 20 minutes combined from Harris and THJ. They provided a total of 3 points 1 reb and 1 assist. Nothing else. Aren't these the situations the vets were brought in for? Quote
Deleterious Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 For the sake of comparison. Miami had 4 guys who scored 4+ points in the 4th last night. Quote
Deleterious Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 Sounds like PG13 and Embiid are both out for our game on Wednesday. Quote
