Edvinsson’s ENG in the dying seconds finishes off a 4-2 Wings win. Isles must be kicking themselves.

it was looking pretty hopeless at the end of the 2nd. The sloppy passing on the one power play was downright embarrassing.

Is Rasmussen nursing an injury? His skating seems labored even for him. 

Veleno and Motte pretty much invisible.

the wings are so small up front with their best players.  ras and veleno bring size and strength yet both are non-entities.

ras showed well right before he got his contract extension.  he was physical and skilled.  and since he got hurt he's been back to being invisible, even on the 3rd line.

not as big of a bust as zadina, but still a bust.  late stage kenny drafting has made yzerman drafting look like early stage kenny...

From a Lebrun video: Darren Dreger says Red Wings’ 3 games homestand might determine Lalonde’s future. The sense is that they would go with an interim internal candidate and hope that a top coach becomes available.

The only thing that makes me feel not too bad about missing out on Montgomery is Montgomery's existing ties to St. Louis, having been an assistant there. Yzerman might never had much of a chance on that one.

His wife is also from St. Louis and I believe he's good friends with their GM (probably from his assistant days), I think he was destined for the Blues

 

My complete guess if Dreger is right and the Wings blow it over the homestand is Tanguay takes over as interim.  But I have no clue.

Nice play by Rasmussen in front of the net on the PP leads to a DeBrincat goal, Wings up 1-0 over a good Flames team through 1.

Then Rasmussen misses a two on O because he didn’t lift the puck at all after receiving the pass. Even I would know you have to put the puck high there. 
 

Also seems like both teams are getting frustrated with the refs over non-calls. I wouldn’t be shocked if someone did something stupid soon on either side.

Long way to go tonight, but if the Wings can pull out a win and enter Thanksgiving 10-10-2, they should pinch themselves that they haven’t wrecked their season yet given the way they’ve played almost all of the nights.

I take back when I said the Flames are a good team, both teams don’t look great honestly haha.  Wings lead in shots at least I guess.

Off to overtime. I really want this extra point. Sloth is right, both teams are pretty bad, but I think the Wings have been a little less bad than Calgary tonight.

I'll be content taking chances with shootout. Wings must have the least threatening 3 on 3 setup in the league.

Flames announcers vehemently opposed to the call. "Yeah, technically, there are too many men on the ice, but in a way that's hardly ever called".
