Dan Campbell is now one of only eight Lions coaches who have 30 or more wins. And on a side note if I had a nickel for every Lions head coach who was named Clark I'd have 15 cents... which isn't a lot of it's odd that it's happened three times.

53 - Clark, Potsy
53 - Wilson
47 - Parker
43 - Schmidt
43 - Clark, Monte
36 - Caldwell
31 - Campbell

Edit to add: These are regular season wins btw. Wanna look at post season? It ain't pretty...

Barring something unforeseen he'll almost certainly be at the top of the list before he's done here.

Maybe... probably?? Right now Campbell has a .534 winning percentage. If we assuming some leaner years will happen (injuries, retiring stars, whatever), let's say he goes .500 from now until he reaches win number 67. That's 36 more wins plus of course 36 more losses, or 72 more games. 8 more games this season means 64 more after this, or around 4 more years. 4 more years seems doable as a HC. Campbell's certainly not old, but and he definitely seems to have a love for the game so I don't seem him deciding to suddenly hang it up.

Put up the MCDC statue now!

The Colossus at Ford Field.

Make it so big that Joe Louis’s fist looks like it belonged to a baby.

Did they show that last night? That's funny.

Do you wanna know the break down of those losses over the 3.5 years of Campbell?

2021: 7
2022: 3
2023: 2
2024: 0

So the Lions got blown out a bunch when Campbell was first here... since then they've rarely been blown out by a lot. The graphic paints it like if the Lions get down they fall apart... but the reality is that our 2021 team just sucked and since then we're been pretty dang good.

I mean if you take out 2021 -- Dan's rookie coaching year (I'm not including his interim gig with the Dolphins), Holmes hasn't really gotten a chance to make over the roster... so not completely unfair to just say 2021 is a lost year and not a good job of the people running the show -- Any, take out 2021... the Lions are 29-14 in the regular season, plus 2-1 in the playoffs. That's pretty damn good.

Watching Bates game winner again and aside from how close it was to hitting the upright the thing that sticks out is just how much distance it had. It was a 52 yarder yet it glanced the flags on the top of the goal posts and finished 3 quarters of the way up on the net.  Just an insane leg!

So close to the goalposts, you could see the shadow of the ball. Yeah, he had extra distance but push it back a couple (few) yards and it may have been wide. Still, he kicked that ball 156 feet. Remarkable. And after the game, he deflected the credit to his snapper and holder. The Lions have an answer for a long term kicker.

He should be at the top of the list well before the end of the 2027 season.

Right, but also, the kicks were straight and true. No bend. The 58-yarder, you could see halfway it was going to pass as close to the inside of the bar without hitting it as possible. If there were a candle there, the breeze from the ball would have blown it out.

Yes, it was a stat they showed right as the 2nd half was starting. I rewatched it today when I got home, but just the 2nd half. 😆😆

And I agree, the stat is somewhat misleading.

Overlooked in the Lions win were the catches Jaymo made. A few kinda hard catches. One kept a drive going on 3rd down and one he got hammered on. I thought it should have been a personal foul, he got hit so hard.

Watching "Calls of the Game" and noticed something interesting... look at the Texans' OL right before the snap at this point in the video: https://youtu.be/ltZdyVSQegs?t=124

Are my eyes deceiving me or are the Texans doing the thing where you're the away team and the guard lets the center know when the QB is ready because it's too loud from the fans for the center to hear?

Hats off to Brad and Dan for sure on trading for Davis. I wanted them to sign Kendall Fuller so they didn't have to surrender any draft capital and Davis has played better than Fuller so far this year.

One thing I just now remembered the feeling of "Oh...ok" I had when I learned that the Texans were pulling out those all red alternates, 'blood red' I think they called them, for the game against us, like extra importance.  Now the pure satisfaction of knowing we spoiled that party!

PFF needs a special rating system for plays made after someone ****s themselves.

I just saw that tweet that says James Houston had an "accident" during the game. Mixon coming at him...😁😁
