Totally agree. Even setting aside the fact that they are the only legacy team to not yet make the Super Bowl and it's been, in fact, 67 years since the last championship at all, this particular group of coaches and players are just so damn lovable.

I remember the last time we thought there was a ghost of a chance we could go deep into the playoffs, I think it was 2011, and I was looking forward to having the country root for us as an underdog franchise, and Ndamukong Suh started acting out like a ****ing jerk, establishing himself as basically the dirtiest player in the NFL by stomping on that Packers player on TG of all games, and I thought, welp, there goes any chance that anyone outside Detroit is rooting for us.

If the Lions keep on beating teams so soundly, the country may start not liking us so much. Kinda....who likes a bully? 🤣🤣

To me it was actually some of the non interpretations that worried me more. He missed quite a few easy throws that he normally makes.

There were more than 1 just at St.Brown that weren't even close(they weren't throwaways either) and another couple where St.Brown had to pluck below his knees to get to.

Also I know he isn't known for throwing the tightest spiral but some in that game were especially wobbly, hell the one to LaPorta was so bad the announcers thought it was tipped at the line of scrimmage.

All this to say as long as there isn't something physically wrong with him that he is hiding I'm not concerned though, guys have off games, even great ones so until proven otherwise that's what I'm chalking it up as.

1st throw of the game was a worm killer. I kept waiting to hear if it was tipped but the announcers were too busy introducing the players to actually announce the game. Get rid of those in-game intros and do it before the kickoff. Cut off the commercials 30 seconds early...

What’s a bully? Is it simply anyone who wins? Or is it someone who wins while being an insulting jerk?

We are in first Godfather movie baptism mode right now.

Birkett just tweeted that Carlton Davis broke his thumb in practice on Thursday. Says Davis doesn't think it will be a big deal and is going to play through it.

Lions CB Carlton Davis said he broke his thumb in practice Thursday battling Amon-Ra St. Brown at the line of scrimmage. It's a clean break, he'll cast it up and play through it. Said he doesn't think it'll affect him much once the adrenaline gets going. www.freep.com/story/sports...

lol I just signed up there yesterday, trying to find all the people I follow on twitter on there.

I don't know if its a panacea, but I do know it isn't controlled by a capricious egomaniac.

Our old friend Joique Bell opened up a bar and restaurant near Ford Field.

That's cool. I loved Bell when he was playing. When it seemed like all the other backs we had would try and juke and jump and dodge and twist and try to get 10, 15, or 20 yards but would end up, more often than not, being tackled at or behind the line, Bell just powered through and tried to get 3-5 yards and make a positive play.

I dunno... I mean Davis was 5th best receiver in terms of catches last game. I'd hate to lose that product with him wearing a cast.

They’ll just have to get Goff more involved. He’s caught 100% of his targets and this coaching staff refuses to throw him the ball.

A team that beats your favorite team so badly that it's not even competitive. The Lions are well on their way to being disliked by America. Another season or 2 of winning.

Not a bad idea. If you used Goff more in a receiver role that would free up Raymond to play more OL, which means Sewell could sub in at CB. I think we've got a good plan here but I seriously doubt someone as inept as Johnson will see the wisdom and make the necessary changes. SOL...

Losing close does nothing but save bad coaches’ jobs. Matt Patricia would have been 8-7-1 in his penultimate season under this metric. Lot of good that did us.

I think it shows that blowouts don't happen all the time, and if the Lions only win by single digits, we don't need to purge the coaching staff.

I've just learned my lesson, because I cited to this stat when I wasn't ready to fire Matt Patricia in 2019. How naïve of me.

Or - as I would claim now - I just knew that Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes would be prepared to take it over in 2020.
