I would have declined that penalty. I understand the Lions likely were afraid the Colts would have gone for it on 4th and short but I’m not sure they would have. Looked closer to 2 yards to go than 1 yard.

I would have accepted. 3rd and 6 probably takes a Richardson run off the table. I want him to throw as much as possible.

Can't take us out of field goal range, absolutely need to throw that away there.

What are they doing?  Hand the ball off on 3rd and 2 and Goff just turtles when there was absolutely not reason to go down.  The turtling didn’t need to happen. But again, hand the ball off.

Yeah, “smartly takes a sack” is a commentary I disagree with. He knew he was in trouble and had a chance to get rid of it before cycling back.

With as erratic as Richardson can be and backed up in your own end zone, I think it's a good call to just run it on 3rd down and punt.

Great play by Goff there. Nice pitch and catch on the run. Not a play he makes in 2021, he's come a long way.

I understand the decision, but I think with how explosive the Lions offense is, with how good the Lions are generally, you're going to have to steal some possessions (if you're the Colts). You're 5-6, they're 9-1.

You've got a bad backup corner whose already been burned once and you didn't connect. Try to draw up a long play on that side of the field.

But again, I'm cool with them handing Goff the ball on 3rd and long.

Goff misses a wide open LaPorta.  Total duck out of his hand. That is a big miss.
