I don't understand why when a receiver initiates contact with the defender, the defender is called for the penalty. Also, the receiver looked like he was out of bounds anyways.

He needs to turn his head around. NFL officials are clueless as to what is and isn’t pass interference, so they just look for clues.

Having a practice squad defensive interior killed them. They never get gashed on the ground like that. Until they get decimated.

My issue with the pass interference is that it looked like the receiver stepped out of bounds, so wouldn't he be an ineligible receiver?

Things ended up working out perfectly for the Lions, if the original TD held up GB would get the ball with a minute left and a TO, now they get it with 10 seconds and no timeouts.
