I’m surprised the refs haven’t given the Leafs a powerplay yet after those back to power plays for the Wings. Plus the Wings are up 1 with 4 minutes to go, that usually triggers a penalty.

I still don't get how the Leafs have a better record when Matthews is hurt. Maybe if you break down the schedule of who they played there is some answer to it, but when Daniels quoted those numbers the other night they offered no theories.

i think the leafs are in better shape this year.  more well rounded team but the gaoltending is still suspect.

Best thing the Leafs have going for them this year is the lack of dominant teams in the East this season. Tampa and Boston are both well off their recent peaks. Florida may be fatigued from two straight Cup finals by the time the playoffs come. Rangers need to figure things out fast. Washington and NJ may or may not be able to sustain top play. So the Leafs are one of a half-dozen teams with a shot at representing the East, with none at this point clearly ahead of the rest.

1-1 after 1 against Philly.  Turnover by Edvinsson gave them a breakaway to start the game to go down 1-0 early.  Compher power play goal tied it up.  Wings outshot the Flyers in the first at least.

Now Edvinsson is out for the rest of the game with an upper body injury, not good

Flyers let the Wings get a 3 on zero rush, not sure I've seen that one in a while lol.  Veleno buried it from Fischer on that play to make it 4-2. 

DeBrincat from Kane made it 2-1 before Philly tied it.  Then Rasmussen scored off a faceoff win by Compher to make it 3-2.  Wings have twice as many shots as the Flyers, 18-9 with a minute left in the second

Shocked that the Flyers have only mustered 9 shots on net with Edvinsson out, it has largely been Seider and the misfit veterans this game

Good stuff. Too bad these "professional" announcers can't pronounce Rasmussen's name. What a quick shot he made, right off the face off.

When it is the national broadcast I legitimately listen to music during the games and don't listen to the commentary, it usually just makes me mad!
