Deleterious Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Pistons injury report is good. Just the two way guys and end of the bench types. Middleton is out. Giannis and Prince are probable. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Starting lineup needs to be shaken up tonight. Not sure who you take out, but I want Stewart starting to defend Giannis. Quote

Not sure who you take out, but I want Stewart starting to defend Giannis. I was thinking the same thing, but then I get PTSD about the two big man lineup. However, if you take Duren out for Stew then who guards Lopez? You can put Harris on him, but Lopez is going to run to the post every play. I suppose you can live with that over the threes he'll get with Duren guarding him, but securing the defensive rebound with Harris and Stew is going to be a real problem against Lopez and Giannis. Maybe if you also put in Ausar over THJ you can make up for some of the rebounding and also have a better option to guard Dame. Bottom line, it's a bad matchup. You have to give Giannis the jumper and hope he doesn't turn into prime KD again like he did last game. Quote
Hongbit Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 I’m trying to do my part. I bet a Giannis points ladder from 30 up to 45. Also sprinkled on his triple double. Figure the way that my NBA bets are going at the moment these will all lose. I can see a blistering 20-6–6 first half turn into Giannis having to leave with injury in the 3rd quarter. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 7m58s left on the second quarter and Milwaukee already has 50 points. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Underwood acting like the Brinks truck showing up at his house wasnt the reason he went to Michigan. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Duren really struggling with Giannis. The effort is there though. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 I'm going to get me a coaching job. My whole philosophy on coaching will be hey don't leave the guy thats shooting 50% from three to go double. 1 Quote
Hongbit Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Bucks are going to hit 80 in the first half with Giannis only taking 3 shots. Wow that is terrible defense. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 So many of Cades turnovers are just carelessness. Lazy dribbling 30 feet from the basket. Doesn't see the second defender coming when he's trying to back someone down. I can kind of accept turnovers if you're trying to force the pass or a play. But when so many of them are just laziness that has nothing to do with any type of play or anything it just gets a little ridiculous after a while. 1 Quote

Deleterious Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 At the end of the third quarter the Pistons have 88 points. They are behind by 22. They gave up 110 points to Milwaukee in three quarters. Quote
casimir Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 So, riddle me this, if I stopped watching at halftime, is there any reason to pick up the 2nd half? Are they going to be 3-1 in this gimmicky tourney with a negative point differential? Quote

Betrayer Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 13 hours ago, Deleterious said: Exactly. Most NBA players who aren't on the Pistons are going to make wide open threes. It's a practice shot. I understand that Giannis is a problem with his ability to run directly through you and still get the call, but you at least have to guard the shooters. I saw so many missed rotations and defensive breakdowns, it would be impossible to count them all. This team put all their resources into offense over the summer and, other than Beasley, it hasn't gone well. They're a bottom third team on offense (bad shooting and turnovers). They've been top third on defense, but we really starting to see that come back to earth, no matter how much JB has them playing above their talent level on that end most nights. It's going to be a long December with Boston, New York, Boston, and Miami as the next 4 games. Then you've still got Utah, Phoenix, LA, Sac, Denver, and then Orlando on Jan 1. I could see this team going 2-8 during that stretch with a win over the Jazz at home and maybe stealing that Heat game. Hard to project too many more winnable games this month. 1 Quote

He did have foot surgery, which I imagine has to impact your offseason routine since you probably can't walk or run for a long time. Still though, he just looks like kind of lost, like he's trying to figure out his role. For some reason he's hesitating on open threes and dribbling too much. Quote
