buddha Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 they gave the celtics a good run last time. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Two games added to the schedule now that the tournament is done. Two new games: 12/12 @ Boston 12/16 Miami Quote
Deleterious Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 From last nights game. Two Pistons below the FT line to the Bucks 3. After Cade backs out, you have 3 and 1 below and they still couldn't make the Bucks pay. Duren has to move that ball. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Thompson is being held out. Shame, he is needed for that 5 out offense Boston runs. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Jesus. Duren inbounds it to the Celtics who instantly nails the three. Celtics up 12-4 . Cade already had two fouls. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 (edited) Another team hitting all of their 3PT shots. Absolutely nothing Detroit can do about it though. Luck of the Irish, or something. Edited December 5, 2024 by Deleterious 1 Quote
Deleterious Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Celtics score 39 in the first and honestly, they slowed down. It could have been a lot worse. Pistons down 15. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Ron Holland triple. He should be good for another week or two. 1 Quote
Deleterious Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Beasley and Sasser keeping Detroit in it. Both have 9 points. Harris, Duren, and Hardaway have not scored yet with 7 minutes left in the 2nd. Quote
Adullin Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Better second quarter would like to see us chip away at the lead. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Just now, Adullin said: Better second quarter would like to see us chip away at the lead. They are playing better. But man, Boston is so good. Almost hard to believe their best guy isn't even playing. 1 Quote
Deleterious Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Boston must have the best white guy to win ratio in the league. I really want basketball reference to start tracking that stat. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 The Pistons scored 58 points in the first half and are still behind by 14. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Do this. Next time Boston takes a wide open three point shot. Look at the five Pistons on the floor. I bet you any money at least one of them isn't within 10 feet of a Celtic player. But teams just keep making all of t heir shots for some reason. 1 Quote
Deleterious Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 You almost have to build a statue of Beasley at LCA. Without him this season would be a disaster. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 As bad as they've played, they're only down nine with 6 minutes left in the game. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Boston's had leads in the 4th in all 4 of their losses this year, they really aren't that far off from being undefeated. Quote
NYLion Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Cooper Flagg looked really good. Of course we know the Pistons will end up with the 5th pick but throw the season in the Pooper for Cooper has now initiated. 1 Quote
Betrayer Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 The NBA is such a one trick pony now. Chuck threes all game. If you're lucky you have a star who can play the boring foul game. Moving screens all day and defenders have no right to their space. Having just one way to win is boring. Rant aside, you can't win if you can't rotate on defense and contest shooters. It also doesn't help if you give the ball away so they have extra possessions. It's a simple as that. It's also becoming increasingly obvious that this team has 2 backups Centers and no starter. Choose your backup between Duren and Stew, and trade the other. I'm still listening to offers for Ivey as well. I was in favor of trading one or both of them during the offseason and that hasn't changed for me. In a bubble either of them are fine in the right role, but I'm not paying them big money this offseason to lock them up as my "core". 1 1 Quote
Adullin Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 That first quarter doomed the pistons. At the same time better defense would be helpful 130 is a lot of points to give up in a game. 1 Quote
