Moseley isn't even on the injury report anymore.

I haven't found an update though saying they expect to have him in the lineup or that he's even practicing with the team. Pride of Detroit just said he was off the injury report, but nothing more. It would be nice to get more depth back on defense.

If he isn't on the injury report, he's practicing. Birkett said everyone on the 53 man roster was at practice.

It's a dumb take by Orlovsky. The defense is overall really good, there is not some glaring weakness in the secondary that has just gone untapped by opposing offenses. Especially with Branch as a free floating safety. He claims that they are "good, not great" and I think that's significantly underselling how well Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph have played, who are the reinforcements coming on those very deep shots against man coverage.

If you're an opposing offense facing a healthy Lions defense, you're probably not going have success running the ball and you're probably not going to sustain a long drive, so in that sense, sure, might as well try to take a deep shot every now and then if you can get single coverage. If one connects you're in business. But you're going to get some of those picked off if you're doing it three times a quarter.

Points given up the Lions in the 2nd half of their past 7 games: 0, 11, 0, 0, 0, 20, 24

I’m hoping a lot of the breakthroughs the past couple of games is due to injuries and depth and that the hoped for return of a few players this week will help with that. Buffalo is a very good 2nd half team, by the way.

This game is more important than many Lion fans realize. A Super Bowl contender opponent that is coming off a loss. Their defense looked horrible last week and I'm sure they will be foaming at the mouth to get back out there and prove themselves. Meanwhile, Detroit wants to prove they belong in a conversation as an elite team with Super Bowl hopes. A loss would bring up some negative talk from their "fans."
