You have no idea what that means if you’re serious.

You just come around here and **** on everything about the team.   Fire Ben Johnson if every drive isn't a touchdown.  Fire Aaron Glenn if he can't make a 2nd sting defense stop Josh Allen.   You're a joke.  You're just a troll.      If the Lions stumble you'll go around banging a drum about being right because they didn't win every single game.     You have the most ridiculous standard of anyone.    If they aren't 17-0 then the coordinators suck and should be fired.    You're just a troll.

I can’t tell if he’s goofing and it’s just a bit or he’s the internets biggest idiot.

Lots of people jumping off the bandwagon at 12-2.   Pathetic.

Being realistic about the damage to the defense is NOT the same as jumping off the bandwagon.  I still think the Lions and beat SanFran and Chicago and possibly even the Vikings, but it definitely got harder to do. And come the playoffs they'll be facing nothing but the best teams in the NFL and doing it with one hand of the defense tied behind their back. Again, not impossible, but significantly harder.

Anyone who blames Aaron Glenn for anything is an idiot.

100% agreement there.

It's a loss.   This is the NFL.   It's not easy.

It's not the loss that's the problem. It's the loss of two more starters and a backup on an already injury riddled defense. If Dorsey can be play Safety we can legitimately field a decent defense with just our guys we've got injured right now:

DL: Hutch, McNeill, Cominsky, Davenport
LB: Barnes, Anzalone, Rodrigo
CB: Davis, Rackstraw
S: Iffy, Dorsey??

This team is going to be very good for several years.

This part I agree with. Defensively we've upgraded significantly. Smith is a nice DE to put on the opposite end. McNeill came out as a star last year and has only added to it this year. Davis is a nice pickup at CB and Arnold looks to be great at the other CB spot. Campbell at LB as grown considerably. If the defense is all healthy that starting lineup is top notch.

I'm a little worried about the age of the OL, but I think they've got at least another year or two of top level play there.

Neither. He's just extraordinarily passionate for the Lions and lives and dies on each play. I think we all get a bit worked up during the game and overreact to things. Now, imho TP goes a bit too  far down the over-reaction road, but I kinda/sorta get it... it's not always easy to stay level headed and logical during a game.

There's no doubt the margin for error has gotten alot smaller but as long as the offense can stay mostly healthy the Lions are gonna be a threat.

Last year they easily could've went to the Super Bowl and I don't think our defense playoff time was much better than what we are throwing out there now.

Its going to come down to the defense forcing a turnover and a few punts a game, if they can do that with this offense it should be enough to win the game.

I don't think that is asking too much or being unrealistic even with the worst of defenses.

The defense that played San Francisco last year is equal to or worse than the defense that will go into Chicago.

The defense that played San Francisco last year played well enough to make the Super Bowl.

The sky is not falling.

Hutch+McNeil+Barnes+Iffy (who was a major factor in the playoffs) vs. Smith+Reader. Arnold and Sutton are pretty much a saw-off. We'll see if Anzalone comes back at 100%, if not that's another big loss. Maybe Iffy comes back and gives them a boost but his health is always.... Iffy. The defense is considerably worse now.

With that said, I was kind of doom and gloom yesterday due to the initial shock of all the season ending injures being still fresh but I'm in a different mindset this morning of just choosing to be enjoy the rest of the season, it's been a fun ride. What else can we do? No use stressing out over something as trivial as football so I'll just cheer on the team without the weight of expectations and worry of failure and hope for the best.

Arnold is playing much better now than Sutton was then, plus you got an improved Campbell, Branch and Joseph.

Campbell has essentially replaced Barnes, Ownuzurike has quietly played well, and Melifonwu could be back. Arnold is better than what Sutton was at the end of the last year.

Campbell and Barnes play different positions, Levi yes but he has to stay healthy, we'll see on Iffy, Arnold hasn't played #1 corner like Sutton did last year so that's a wait and see.

Even if I agree with you on all that, Hutch and McNeil are massive subtractions from last years NFC Championship defense. The Lions are likely going to have to win a bunch of shootouts to win a Superbowl. The offense is capable but that's an enormous ask of the offense to be nearly perfect every playoff game against playoff defenses and even they are down their 1b running back. They have to get the 1 seed and more importantly the bye to have any chance.

I just wish he'd dial it down from 11 to about an 8. It's a game, not life and death. But then the last time I got too emotionally involved with a team was the 1992 Pirates.

I still hate Sid Bream, but Barry Bonds also deserves some of my ire.

That's what I am saying.  This loss might actually be a GOOD thing.  A thing that galvanizes them.

I would agree with that if the Lions had been getting complacent and fell into the trap of overlooking an inferior opponent and it bit them. But surely almost squandering a big lead on Thanksgiving needing bonehead time management to survive and then needing a last-second FG to beat GB were enough wake-up calls. Can’t imagine the Lions weren’t “up” going into a marquee matchup against Buffalo. Fact is, the Lions have given up a ton of points the past 2 1/2 games, not from lack of trying.

You’re just a fair weather fan.  You gloat about how you don’t let the lions ruin your Sundays anymore.  It doesn’t bother you when they lose.  So why even watch?

For better or worse, it ruins my Sunday when they lose. Judge all you want for priorities, but that’s my life.

And quit being dishonest. You’ve let all nuance escape you.  I’ve been high on ben Johnson all year have paid out tons of complaints.  Aaron Glenn has had a decent year, but as far DCs go, he is well below the mean in scheme ability.  He is a phenomenal leader of men, but we already have one of those. I want a DC that knows you’re allowed to play more than man to man.

Either way, if it doesn’t bother you anymore than ignore me and stop responding, hypocrite.
