I think being a Thursday game hurts that price point.

Ten years ago, Thursday Night games were my favorite to attend. I could usually pickup tickets for less than $50 in the hour or two before game time. Still get the prime time feeling but not at the MNF price.

Speaking of ticket prices.

That's pretty brutal, but apart from supply and heavy demand another way to look at is that I'd rather pay to watch 4 or 5 games of the 2024 Lions than 8 games of the 2021 Lions.  They're not equivalent products. An elite Lions team is a vastly improved product enhancement, like the difference between the latest iPhone and a flip phone.

The Bills/Lions game from 2022 is being replayed on NFL Network right now.

I never appreciated just how ugly the home grey uniforms were until we upgraded to the current blues.

That game is a good example of why Campbell was right to go for it on 4th down at the end of the Green Bay game. The Lions were down 3 late and had a 4th and short and opted to kick. Buffalo went down the field in like 30 seconds and kicked the field goal to win.

I agree, though I think he made the right call in that game.

There were 28 seconds left, 4th and 1, down 3, two timeouts. Even if you pick up the first, you're probably kicking it three plays later to tie the game. If you don't convert the 4th, you lose. As opposed to Green Bay, where if you don't covert you're probably going to OT.

I just happened to be watching another clip yesterday and it too reminded me how much I disliked those yucky all-greys. It was from 2021 when the 0-10-1 Lions finally won their first game, over the Vikings. But something else about that game. Lions were up 2 with just over 4 minutes to go and went for it on 4th and 2 from their own 28 and failed to convert. Vikings with the great field position scored the go-ahead TD before the Lions drove back down and scored the last-second TD to win

I think of this game a lot, with respect to attendance. Ford Field was empty for this game. Entire sections of the 300-level were empty. A ton of Vikings fans too, enough that they were able to get their dumb SKOL chant going quite often.

Flash forward to now, those empty seats cost like $400.

One of the things that always stuck out to me about this game was the reaction by Goff after the game winning TD. He didn’t go celebrate first with his teammates, he ran straight to Campbell. I’ll go out on a limb and say he never did that with McVay.

At 410, a helicopter from Minneapolis will deliver 4000 cubic yards of snow, seeking to avenge the MetroDome roof collapse. Ford Field holds, but an intern left a window open.

CBS refuses to postpone the game.

Both teams playing in snow above their eyes leads to a return to old school football.

This is the game that many Lion fans said they would sacrifice if we won over Green Bay. We beat the Packers so we'll accept a loss to Buffalo? No, Detroit rarely loses in nationally televised games, Detroit 31 Buffalo 28. Another last second Bates FG.

I don't think anybody meant that they would just accept a loss atleast I never meant to imply that, I meant that IF we had to lose a game the rest of the way this one would be the least damaging for our division and number 1 seed hopes. A win is obviously the goal and more preferable though but that should go without saying.
