Deleterious Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 The leagues web site lists the Reed move so it's official. It really makes no sense why they waived him. Quote
buddha Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 if they trade anything of value - even marginal value - for vucevic or kuzma i'm out. at least lavine can be a second scorer for cade. and he's a fun player to watch on offense. vuc is 34, slow, a marginal shooter, plays no defense, and a malcontent. i'd rather have nic claxton. at least he plays defense. claxton-ausar-holland-cade-stewart. we'd lose every game 65-63. Hongbit Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 I don’t want him on the Pistons now but one can easily make the argument that Nikola Vucevic is the most underrated NBA player of his generation. He’s been an 20/10 guy every night for most of the last 14 years and people still view him as a Jag. Quote

Deleterious Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 I know Dallas is looking to move Gafford. Offers zero spacing, great lob threat though and will block 2 shots per game. Good defense on a good contract ($15 per for one more year). Rumors are they want perimeter defense back. Not sure they want someone as flawed as Holland or Thompson though. Dallas has been linked to Herb Jones but IMO it will take more than Gafford to get Jones. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 We all know that is what it will end up being. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 The Athletic has an article listing each teams trade deadline needs. Quote Detroit Pistons Perimeter defense: With Ausar Thompson only playing in five of Detroit’s first 25 games, the Pistons have been without a formidable perimeter defender they can count on to consistently cut off other players’ water. Detroit ranks last in the league in steals, 28th in opponent 3-point percentage, 28th in deflections and 22nd in opponent 3-pointers made. This season alone, the Pistons have also allowed eight players to score at least 35 points in a game and two players to score at least 40, and Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 59 on Detroit. — Hunter Patterson 1 Quote
Deleterious Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 No clue who this reporter is or if he is reliable or not. Simmons is having a down year. Still young, signed through next season. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 Is Langdon related to Monty Williams somehow? Quote
Deleterious Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 Anyone ever mentioning an expiring contract as an asset should be instantly banned. They just cut a $10M contract that would not be guaranteed until Jan 10th. Absolutely mind boggling. Quote
buddha Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 bwaaa ha ha ha ha. this organization knows where they are and knows their best chance at success is to tank tank tank. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 I don't have any issue trying this guy out. My issues is the had an open roster spot and cap space to sign him without cutting Reed. Quote
buddha Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 whatever. another marginal player to add to the mix. in the grand scheme of things, it just makes the tank that much more of a possibility. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 A bit thin at C now. Foul trouble and injuries are going to be fun. Quote
