buddha Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 with the sixers' implosion its going to be really hard for the pistons NOT to make the play in. Quote

Betrayer Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 Predictable loss to a bad team after stealing a win against Miami. Starting lineup needs a permanent shakeup once guys are healthy. West coast trip coming up, so things aren't getting any easier. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 Unless it ends up being top 2 or 3 the Pistons need to consider trading this years pick. If they can package the pick with other assets to land a solid #2 to play next to Cade, they should do it. No 30 year olds with back problems or severely flawed games. Go big and try to get that second star. Cade isn't waiting around forever. Quote

This is probably true enough to be wise advice, but I got sucked into the hope of another win, then I got sucked into the car wreck nature of the 1st quarter, then I got sucked into the comeback, then I got sucked into chippy nature on the court, then the game was over and I realized I had just watched two hours of futility and it sucked. 1 Quote

buddha Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 who wants a first round pick bad enough to move a star's contract? utah? would they move markkanen? Quote
Deleterious Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 That list is fluid depending on who misses the playoffs. Who doesn't make as deep a run as they wanted, etc. Ingram - Technically a free agent but the Pistons don't have the cap space so it would have to be a sign and trade. Zion - Most feel a first lands him for 31 games a year. Sabonis - Most feel he is available. Cam Thomas Bam - What is Miami doing if they move Butler? Building around Bam or moving him too? Always quite a few guys available if you want them. 1 Quote
