Shams was on ESPN today and said Golden State has basically called about every all star level player.  He said name the all star and Golden State has called.

Kerr will just add him to his 10 deep rotation and play him 20 minutes a game .

Unless the trade machines are wrong, it looks like it will have to be Fontecchio going if we want Ball.  I'm not OK with that.  I know he has not been what I expected this season, but I think he has some value as a shooter off the bench.  Enough I don't want to send him out for injury prone Ball.

i'd do it.  ball has been shooting much better lately and improved a lot under....fred vinson.

i doubt the bulls want fontecchio and his contract so it probably wont work.

I doubt they care about the contract.  Tradeable size, only 1 1/2 years left.  Plus the Bulls seem to be lining up their cap space for the summer of 2026.  They are set to have about $125 million in space if they want it.

I would do Ball for THJ in a heartbeat though.

I'd be fine with either THJ or Tec for Ball. THJ probably makes more sense because it's guard for guard so you could pop Ball in the starting lineup and then have him stagger with Cade to have a bench unit ballhandler like you did with Ivey. For Chicago, they'd get an expiring contract rather than an extra year of Tec.

Either way, I don't think it happens. Ball is an injury risk and Trajan seems to be trying to avoid those after he escaped the injury version of the Titanic (Pelicans) just in time.

Sort of makes sense to move Grimes.  He will be due a good raise this summer and Christie can take his minutes on a much smaller deal.

Trading him for Martin doesn't make sense.  Decent enough player when healthy.  But he plays the same position and is locked up for 3 more years.

Sort of looking like the cheap owner claim might be true.

He's an injury risk but he's just a rental and won't cost much to acquire so there really isn't much risk with potential nice reward as a much needed ballhandler to alleviate some burden from Cade. I think it's imperative that Langdon add a ballhandler, he has to see that it's just too much on Cade's shoulders right now.

ball's been pretty injury free so far this year.  and if all youre giving up is tec or thj and a second rounder, i'm good with taking that risk.

i do think that won't be enough, and at the end of the day someone might pony up a late first for him.  he's a solid player when healthy.

Latest on Kevin Durant landscape as NBA trade deadline nears

Quote

League sources say the Dallas Mavericks, fresh off their Luka Dončić-for-Anthony Davis swap that sent shockwaves through the Association, have dreams of adding Durant to their Davis-Kyrie Irving-led group. While the likelihood of Dallas pulling this off now appears unlikely, the mere idea of Durant joining Dallas’ star-studded group sheds new light on the thinking of Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison after he was roundly ridiculed for the Dončić deal. Whether it’s Durant (now or later), or perhaps even the Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James in the summer if he were to decline his player option for next season, the 52-year-old Harrison appears to be targeting big-time stars with whom he’s very familiar from his past life as a top Nike executive. The goal, of course, is to win a championship as soon as possible.
