Deleterious Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Maybe the 80's are coming back. Cleveland put 149 on Denver last night in a regulation game. 1 Quote
Deleterious Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Stewart upgraded to probable. For some reason, Bobi is back to being listed as out. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Kinda funny watching the odds drop on Pistons bets. A few weeks ago you could get Cade points+reboudns+assists 45 for +230-40. Now its +180. Quote

RandyMarsh Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Since I was too young to experience that 186-184 game I think my fondest memory of a Pistons/Nuggets game was the one where Sheed stole the inbound pass and made a 3/4 court buzzer beater to send the game into OT. 1 Quote
Deleterious Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Gordon out for Denver with Murray listed as probable. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Duren with two lane violations on consecutive free throws. Please bench him. Quote
buddha Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 he might be one of the best athletes in the league. i remember watching him smother zack lavine early in his career. not many people can do that. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 I don't mind Stewart getting a tech there. But get it putting Westbrook on his butt, not talking smack to him. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Rare time that Cade and Ivey are on the bench together. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 One of the worst quarters they have played in a long time. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Holland, Thompson, Sasser, Moore, and Paul have got the pistons back into it. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Do not bring the starters back into this. These guys played hard and got them back into it, let the kids finish it and see if they can pull it out. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Johnny Kane with the chip and a chair reference. Quote

Deleterious Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 15 combined points from THJ and Harris tonight. Yeah their minutes were cut short so its a bit misleading. But they were cut short for a reason. Quote
Deleterious Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Not sure if this is intentional by the coaching staff or just a coincidence. But I noticed a pattern of trying to play Thompson with Cade and Holland with Ivey. Quote

A 3-1 trip out west, I’ll take it. I’m not sure last year’s ensemble could’ve gone 3-1 on a road trip to Oakland University. Quote
Betrayer Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 I probably would've brought Cade back when it got down to 7 pts. Take out Moore and let Cade run with Holland, Ausar, Reed, and Sasser so they can have a creator on the floor for the last 5 minutes. Starting lineup needs a change. Duren, THJ, and Harris - at least two of them need to be shifted to the bench for some combination of Ausar, Beasley, Stew (or even Reed). My guess is they're waiting for the trade deadline because those 3 starters are also the ones you're most likely to include in a deal. Quote

Maybe a simple swap of Thompson and for either Harris or Hardaway? And maybe that’s based on the opposite front line? I think there should be enough offense workload covered with at least 2 of Cunningham/Ivey/Beasley in the backcourt. If the Harris that was hoped for would show up, that’d be helpful. Having Thompson and Stewart in the game is nice defensively, but I’m not sure if that’s giving up too much on the offensive side. Maybe I’m wrong, but it seems like getting that 3rd option on the floor has not been easy or not consistent enough. Quote

Ausar for TJH is a good start and I think there's very little chance that Harris gets benched anyway. What you lose in perceived spacing from THJ you get back in many other ways on both ends with Ausar. Something has to be done about Duren though, because he's a real problem. His on/off point differential is staggering no matter which other center you put in there, and this starting unit can't keep digging a hole every game. If you factor in his turnover problem, I'm not sure you lose much offensively with him getting benched anyway. Dunks are nice, but it's not like he's giving you any spacing like Stew could. The org has to decide who the backup big man is - Stew or Duren. That guy stays on the bench in his future role and the other guy gets moved. Maybe they've already decided and that's why Duren is a starter until they move him...? Quote
