Week Eighteen: Minnesota Vikings (14-2) @ Detroit Lions (14-2)

Yep and they easily get the first down. Lions won’t get the ball back. I just can’t believe they didn’t hand it off.  It’s just brain dead play calling.

Just the wrong time to do that, no need to go for a big play in that situation. Just get the 1st down and chew up clock and get into half time with a likely 10-3 or 14-3 lead.

Johnson getting too cute. 4th and inches - just QB sneak the damn thing.

Offense is ass tonight

Right. Get that 1st down and I’m sure sometime in the next 3 minutes or next set of downs there’d be a chance for a big play. Plus would kill clock. A potential 10-14 pt swing, just can’t afford that.

Williams was wide open, and the Vikings line was getting a good push.

They played run and just fired off the line, while l OL backed up to pass protection, bad combo.

When you have the best Oline in the league just pound the rock home for the first.

Unfortunately they haven't been very good tonight

Just the most obvious thing ever.  Hand it off. Get the first and leave the Vikings left with no time.  Now they doing the same to us.   Game changing decision.

This is a disaster.  Coaching matters.  I cant beleive they didn’t run it.

You can't? They throw a lot in that situation...

Lions have not run a play in the red zone. Offense has had a very bad half. And we will take the lead into half time. Well done Aaron Glenn.

Amazing work defense.  Amazing.

Agreed! But I don't expect it to last in the second half.  We are going to need to score more then one possession.

This offense owes this defense an apology at halftime, including Johnson to Glenn. As bad as this defense has been at times this year because of injuries, Glenn is calling a masterful game tonight. He's really done a great job matching coverages and getting pressure on Darnold all night thus far.
