I don't think he commands the high price that people suspect he would.

You don't trade a guy like Cozens if you believe he is a part of your franchise's future. He's only 23.

That means he's underperforming his draft position. Another team will certainly take a swing, and I'm not saying he's worth zero... just not a top prospect like Kasper or Danielson.

 

I think the headline for Cozens is a 1st and another draft pick, a depth prospect, and another underperformer.

 

Rasmussen. Add our 1st and a (3rd? or a 4th? or a future 2nd?). Add in a defenseman like... Wallinder?

That game last night.  I understand the amount of money the network is making by having the moving ads on the boards, but they shouldn't be so distracting.   It ruins watching the game.

I don't mind them so much in general, but there was one point last night when the image on the side board "exploded" at exactly the moment a check was made. I hope that was just random coincidence because it would be truly horrible if they start doing that on purpose.

buffalo drafts very high every year, mismanages their cap and roster, hires bad coaches, and then ends up starting over by trading really good young players about to enter their prime for draft picks.

rinse.  repeat.

i hope we could pull cozens for rasmussen and a pick.  1) it wouldnt work salary wise without other corresponding moves; and 2) someone else would beat that offer.

cozens is signed to a longer term deal so its not like buffalo will lose him for nothing.  this isnt debrincat.

we'll see.  theyre playing pretty well without cozens so maybe they decide to stay put?  cozens at $7.1 av is a gamble and perhaps they can get buffalo to take less because of it?

buffalo would likely want kasper or cossa.

You’re not the only one. It’s the single worst development in my hockey viewing experience. Worse than Fox’s glowing puck. Worse than alternate jerseys. Worse than patches on jerseys. Worse than logos on the ice. If there was a choice in watching a game in color with moving ads or in b&w without moving ads, I’d choose the b&w. I mostly hate the moving ads because they’re distracting and interrupt my focus on the puck, but I also hate them because it distorts reality by showing ads geared to my own market when watching games played in an away rink. I’m not seeing the same thing people in the arena are seeing.

Kasper, finally given good linemates, has almost doubled his season point total over the past 4 games. After 2-5-7 in his his 35 games, he is 3-3-6 in the past 4 games.

Reading back my posts from yesterday I feel like I was more aggressive than I intended so apologies about that.  We had to put a pet down and I'm not in a great headspace.

 

My internet was out all day yesterday so I couldn't even watch the game, that sucked.  I hate these fires man.  But is it a great feeling to have the Wings winning games.  It is insane the turnaround from the new coach.  I felt like Gustafsson was one of the worst Wings I ever had the displeasure of watching earlier this year and now he's actually making plays.  It is crazy.  He has 6 points in 7 games and a +2 in January!

Wings are coming back down to earth this weekend. After losing 5-1 to Tampa yesterday, they trail Dallas 3-0 after 1 tonight.
