Many Lion fans weren't happy when the Lions traded Hockenson. He was productive here. Just another example of Lion management's vision.... But after his big mouth, mock the guy...🤣🤣

IIRC, I was pretty okay with it. He is a  good TE, but he wasn’t worth what the Vikings paid for him. I’ll take the 2nd round pick that ultimately turned into Brian Branch over paying Hock.

And LaPorta is as good as Hock, if not better.

But Hock was an early draft pick, top 10 I think? And at the time, I didn't understand just a future pick for him. Like I said, the Lions had a vision without him in it and they were right. Just another example of Brad and Dan knowing best...

What a melt down from Darnold and KOC the past two weeks.  I know Darnold hasn’t been good, but KOC was handing it off like it was a tie game in the first quarter.

KOC gave up in the 3rd quarter.  Just really odd. The season they had and their coach completely quit after their QB was having another rough outting.  Coach quitting on you is rare.

If that's the case, it's fireable.   Down by 18 is not over in the 3rd quarter of an NFL game.

And he’ll probably get Coach of the Year.

He has one year left on his contract. It’s extension time. I’m just so surprised what I’ve seen tonight.  I thought the rams might win, but this effort by the Vikings is shocking.  And then the coach completely shutting down the offense down 18. Not sure.

iirc, most smart lions fans were happy with that trade.  not many wanted to make hockenson the highest paid te in football.

and the real win was holmes taking the draft picks from the trade.

He did grest with the picks but he traded a #8 overall pick for a 2nd round pick. And at the time, there was no guarantees he would turn that pick into a Branch type player. Very good draft, from the scouting to the actual pick.
