Motown Bombers Posted January 13 Posted January 13 An accurate throw and the receiver comes down inbounds. Quote
TP_Fan Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Packers season over, that’s too bad. Commanders win we play them. Bucs win we either get the Vikings back to back or another stafford game. Quote
Motown Bombers Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Now the Packers are just undisciplined. At least they aren't going after the training staff. Quote
Motown Bombers Posted January 13 Posted January 13 With all the injuries in this game, I'm glad the Lions got the bye. Quote

Whether it's the Bucs, Rams, or Vikings, they need to play better on offense if they expect to advance. Jalen Hurts is a liability at QB. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted January 13 Author Posted January 13 I'll root for the Commies. I'd prefer to play them next week at this point. 1 Quote
number20 Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Man, these injuries. The NFL is considering an 18th game? Not sure how much more pounding these players can take in a season Quote
TP_Fan Posted January 13 Posted January 13 If the commanders win I could see a Saturday night game. Quote

Eagles vs. Rams/Vikings would likely be the Sunday 4 PM game, and Bills/Ravens would be Sunday night. The Lions and Chiefs would be Saturday. Quote

Vikings/Rams winner would play Philly, and hopefully beat them. But the Eagles, at home, weren't that impressive today. The Lions could beat them. Quote

If the Commies win, it would put Lions/Commies on Saturday at 8pm (Chiefs/Texans 4pm Saturday, Eagles/Rams-Vikings 4pm Sunday, Ravens/Bills 8pm Sunday). If the Bucs win, Lions/Rams is an 8pm Sunday game, bumping Ravens/Bills to 8pm Saturday and Chiefs/Texans to 4pm Sunday, Eagles/Bucs to 4pm Saturday... Lions/Vikings I'm not so sure. That might get 4pm Sunday, with Eagles/Bucs taking 8pm Sunday. on edit, I'm not so sure about Lions/Commies either. It's probably an 8pm game, but they might like Eagles/Rams more. romad1 Posted January 13 Posted January 13 (edited) Commies? yikes. I realize we might not like them but they are hardly Leninist. Edited January 13 by romad1 Quote

MichiganCardinal Posted January 13 Author Posted January 13 How is Dan Quinn an NFL head coach? He has the option of kicking off at the 50, where a pooch kick will pin them deep, or a squib will put them at the 20. Instead, he says "give me a 26-yard extra point instead of a 33-yard extra point." Quote

Red Tails (for the Tuskegee Airmen) would have been weird and led to a lot of unfortunateness. I really liked Washington Team Football as a name. Still, its not my football tradition. I've sat in amongst a lot of people who really are angry about losing the Redskins name where they cite the Seminoles or other tribal names for Native American teams that seem to work. I will sometimes try to spin it back on them with sarcasm about skin color being a bad basis for team naming. It gets political of course. 1 Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted January 13 Author Posted January 13 (edited) The broadcast team just reported that they would announce the times for next week's games before this game ends. Edited January 13 by MichiganCardinal Quote
lordstanley Posted January 13 Posted January 13 (edited) A big 3rd and 9 run by Mayfield extended a drive for Tampa when stil! In their own territory, and now they’ve gone down and tied it at 10-10 going into halftime. If the Commanders had made that stop they would have got the ball back up 10-3 with a minute to go and a good chance to take on a field goal. Edited January 13 by lordstanley Quote

There really were not a lot of good names floated if I recall. I think Red Hawks might be the best choice, but I kinda like RedHogs. Quote
lordstanley Posted January 13 Posted January 13 I am cheering for Washington even more than I was at the beginning of the game. Commanders don’t impress me much. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted January 13 Author Posted January 13 Leave it to Kliff Kingsbury to see both starting corners get knocked out in an already bad Tampa secondary and start calling a steady diet of screens and draws. Quote
