Cade picked up his dribble at the logo, which was a mistake. But two Portland defenders jumped him and all 4 other pistons just stood there like they were in cement. A guy being doubled like that can't throw a 20 foot pass. Move to him.

Wasn't pretty but the pistons are. 500.

Amazing. After last season, I never would have guessed it. I feel for Billups though, he may not be coaching much longer. Portland is struggling, again.

Up 4 with 37 seconds left and Portland was inbounding.  Why wasn't Holland on the floor?  Why would you want THJ or Harris out there instead of Holland?  The Pistons had a timeout left so if Portland scores you could use it and get Holland out.

I keep telling myself we are only keeping JB around until they make the playoffs.  Then we get a real coach.

Not sure he makes it.  But Cade is for sure in the all nba team discussion.

Fun fact.  If he makes all nba, his extension gets even bigger.  So next years cap hit is higher, meaning they will have even less cap space this summer.  No clue what the number is, probably between one and two million.  So not a huge increase, but things are already tight with cap space.

.500! Who had that on their predictions at the beginning of the year? I was one of the more positive people on the signings this offseason in the face of so many on here saying, "it's the same team as last year", but I would never have guessed they'd be at .500 this deep into the season.

Cade has taken a leap and the vet role players have been available, unlike the past few seasons. They've also taken turns stepping up. A lot of  big Beasley games, but THJ has won a few games as well, and now Tobias has really stepped up since Ivey went down.

JB deserves a lot of credit as well. He's not free from criticism, but he's doing exactly what I expected which is raising the floor of this team and getting them to punch above their weight. Not a championship coach, but such a huge improvement over Monty and Casey who always had their teams playing below their talent level rather than above it.

Most of all, it's fun to watch this team again. And unlike the last time they were .500, this is a team on the rise rather than a 1 year push to get the 8th seed before everyone loses their jobs.

I remember thinking that it would take a semi miracle to get to 30 wins, I guess I underrated how bad many other teams are this year and just how negative of influence the coaching has been the last few years. Bickerstaff looks like Red Auerbach compared to Monty and Casey.
