I hope they come out with a new coin every week and all the maga-idiots keep buying and keep losing.  They don’t deserve their money.

I'm only disappointed that since Trumps coin was $TRUMP,  Melania's wasn't $TRUMPETTE.

I obviously won’t go so far as  to say I am on Trump’s side but I actually am rooting for him to rip off all of his fans and supporters.  He can have all the money he wants.  He’s too old and feeble to really enjoy it. I’m sure my quality of life right now is higher than his and he's too selfish to leave it to his kids.

Stein provided some additional context that it's a 10 year projection, but still point stands.

What doesn't make any sense at all is that he pitches these tariffs as a means to generate revenue, yet the whole point of tariffs is to impact or curb imports (which, of successful, would curb the amount taken in). Seems like a really terrible method to rely on to raise revenues.

Just incoherent argle bargle all around

Yup. The dirty little secret that modern welfare state governments (and yes, the US is a 1st world welfare state - we just aren't very good at it.....)  need property and income taxes because they are stable. Sales taxes, excise taxes, tariffs, can all swing wildly with the business cycle leaving government budgets to swing likewise.

I want all these Trumpers to get everything they voted for and more. You voted for it it ****ing get it. High prices through tariffs, deported relatives and friends who might be undocumented, instability, chaos, grift, all of it.

1st world welfare state is very accurate.

It's going to be 26 degrees at noon in DC... Kennedy was sworn in single digit temps iirc.

Not sure what Trump's excuse is.

He could get sworn in a broom closet and I would be happy.

The White House said the president had issued pardons for retired Gen. Mark Milley, Dr. Anthony Fauci and members and staff of the House committee that investigated the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot, as well as police officers who testified before the committee. “These public servants have served our nation with honor and distinction and do not deserve to be the targets of unjustified and politically motivated prosecutions,” Biden said.

Biden really setting up bad precedence for future generations.

I don't like the precedent being set either, but given Trump's own words about using DOJ to go after his enemies, as well as his own use of the pardon and commutation power in the past (ie. Roger Stone, Steve Bannon, etc. possibly J6 defendants and convicts in the future), concerns about precedents ring pretty hollow coming from an enthusiastic Trump supporter.

I am pretty sure his quality of life sucks.  In fact, I would bet that he has never liked himself or was comfortable with his life.

Not a psychiatrist, but he exhibits all the hallmark traits of being a narcissist. And narcissists are generally miserable people (IYKYK)

One quote I heard recently that will stick with me (credited both to Joseph Heller and Kurt Vonnegut, Jr but the quote is still good) is that, upon hearing that somebody else was making considerably more: "I have something he doesn't have-I have enough." It's a paraphrase, actually but you get the drift.

People like Drumpf, Elon, et al will never be satisfied with what they have, and most likely can never truly enjoy it.
