Every day, Tigeraholic would lick clean the taint of the man who called his dead friend a sucker and a loser.

Like so many MAGA and Q people, he has actively chosen to be aggressively ignorant about reality.

Maybe it is rooted in shame; maybe it is just stupidity; maybe he's an a-hole.

But it is certainly pathetic as he continually dishonors his friend's memory.

What a pitiful existence.

I've been 'meh' on Elon up until the last 6 months where he's become everything he claims he hates.  So i'm not looking to die on a hill for him, just saying it looked a little odd, even if it was a Nazi salute, it was an awkward Nazi salute. 

As for specific gestures, that by itself is not a characteristic, but the awkwardness definitely can be.

People are responsible for their actions and we are free to interpret them in context. Considering his crazy ideals it's not out of whack to accuse him of that.

I don't see why we should let ourselves get played as saps by these fascists. Of course he makes the gesture in a plausibly deniable way - it's suits the purpose perfectly as a wink to the racists he wants to play to while denying he's doing it. Elon's dance with these folks has already been going on too long to admit any other reality. All the sane washing is wishful thinking on the part of all the people who are loath to admit how far and fast US society has fallen toward the sewers.

You are blaming autism specifically as a potential reason for why Elon made that gesture.

It isn't some inherent trait for autistic people to stim a sieg heil or anything remotely close to it.

More sane washing. Asperger's folks are generally high functioning - obviously Musk is in that category. Besides, the syndrome relates to emotional acuity, not any deficit in the intellectual capacity to use symbolic communication.

I have a friend of the family that doesn't like to hug.  But no longer am I going to blame autisim and disparage everyone with autism just to protect him.  He's either giving me a hug and everyone else or he can get the hell out of my house for being so rude the next time he comes over.

Seriously though, I am not blaming autism.  I said it looked like an awkward response, even if it was completely on purpose, it still looked awkward.  Not having 'normal' reactions/responses can be an autistic trait.  I'm not disparaging anyone with that.  He claims he didn't do it, i'm pointing out something that could potentially back that up, but also completely agree with Oblong on why someone may not believe it.  I'm not trying to say he definitely did or didn't do it, what I am saying is nothing disparaging though.

My son worked for a construction engineering firm that got tied in with Musk on a couple of projects that never really got off the ground or kept running into Elon roadblocks. That led to the firm having to lay off several employees, I'm not sure they are even in the Detroit market anymore, let alone still in business.

His truck sucks, his cars suck, and his rockets keep exploding. I think that's what can expect with his Trump partnership as well.

2. You personally know the friend of the family and he has voiced that to you - you do not personally know Elon Musk and are speculating as to an explanation

When I was researching new EVs, I realized what a conman and charlatan he is. He charges $10,000 for full self-driving that isn't released yet. It is a software update that's coming within a year. That was back in 2016. His net worth is all from his over inflated stock. He announces thinks like 1 million robotaxis by 2020 to pump his stock. He hasn't released a single robotaxi. What really got me was the cult like following. His cars are junk. They have the worst build quality in the industry. People accepted that because they believed in Elon. Every conversation would just go back to how great Elon is and the stock price. I have never seen any other auto company where people talk about the CEO and stock price the way they do with Tesla. He's just a more successful version of Trump.

Reality is always the enemy. No matter what the subject. Science, a gesture, history. Denial of what is real is the fundamental hallmark of everything that needs to be resisted if they actually wanted to 'make America great again'
