I dont think its even a very good explanation given after the explanation, the explainers are still defending nazism

The explanations are terrible.

The fact that foreign outlets, including the BBC, Jerusalem Post and a bunch of the German press called it out but everyone domestically just wants to tiptoe around it... Sorry, I'm just not having any of it.

Every day, Tigeraholic would lick clean the taint of the man who called his dead friend a sucker and a loser.

Like so many MAGA and Q people, he has actively chosen to be aggressively ignorant about reality.

Maybe it is rooted in shame; maybe it is just stupidity; maybe he's an a-hole.

But it is certainly pathetic as he continually dishonors his friend's memory.

What a pitiful existence.

Nah.  He’s playing you.  He’s a troll and he gets off on purposely agitating everyone.  He loves it like a pig in mud.

The more ridiculous he gets, the more attention he receives.  He probably also part of another maga community where he brags about how much lib trolling that he’s doing here.  He doesn’t believe half of the things he says here and is just doing it because he gets a weird rise out of it.

You are guessing or assuming that his autism made him make that gesture.

No I didn't, I said it looked pretty awkward and it's possible it was just awkward and maybe even related to his autism.  Non autistic people do awkward things too.

I've spent too much time on this when I honestly don't have a strong opinion of if he did or didn't do it.  I'm just pissed you felt I was disparaging people with autism.  That was bull****.

This kinda makes my point? You are using autism as a possible explanation for him making that gesture

Not that social media is a well representative or sorted group, but I didn't make this up whole cloth either:

Elon has said he's autistic.  I wasn't guessing or assuming.

he may have said this, and maybe he is somewhere on the spectrum or was, but watch a live one-on-one interview with Elon and watch his body language and watch him hold eye-contact with the interviewer, the audience, and then tell me his impairment is any kind of serious.

And in this context, put in the shoes of someone who is autistic or has Asperger's, tell me how it couldn't possibly be seen as demeaning to have people defend Musk for what he did on those grounds.

Jesus, it's called Autism Spectrum Disorder for a reason.  It can span a wide range.  I'm not even saying he didn't do the Nazi salute, just pointing out he claims he didn't and when I first saw it, I simply thought it looked awkward and if you want to get technical, it wasn't a Nazi salute, he started covering his heart.  Add in the fact he does have a disorder that most people associate with odd behavior and awkward responses and that does add some validity to his claim.  Is he lying, maybe.  Is Oblong 100% correct with his reasonings regarding why he doubts Elon's claim, absolutely.

And again, my biggest issue is that you claim I was being disparaging.  **** that ****.

LOL, F*** them kids

REPORTER: Why did you change your mind about TikTok?

TRUMP: Because I got to use it. And remember, TikTok is largely about kids. Young kids. If China is gonna get information about young kids, I don't know -- to be honest with you, I think we have bigger problems than that.

This from the guy who didn't raise his own.

Bye the way, weren't we promised he'd solve the war between Ukraine and Russia before he even took office. We're in day two. What's wrong Putin not taking his calls anymore?

Look, I do not think you intended to disparage autistic people with your comments.

But, as I've explained, using autism as a possible explanation for Elon doing what he did absolutely can be (and has been) interpreted as insulting by those who are autistic.

I agree with this, although it'd be nice if this feeling were reciprocated by a lot of conservative-leaning people who, at least in my experience, have no problem trashing people with experiences that don't match theirs.

Except you're edumicated, so, it applies only to you.

President Musk is openly promoting and supporting the far right AfD Party in Germany. The AfD Party has a history of antisemitism, bigotry, Islamophobia, and xenophobia. Even the Conservative Party leadership in Germany has denounced the AfD and President Musk's support for it.

Representatives are introducing bills that essentially declare war on Denmark. I think Putin still DMs from time to time.
