I'm wondering if I should treat the US Government like PayPal or some shopping rebate site and create a mostly unused checking account for payments. I'm sure some DOGEr is actually a spy, or wants to retire somewhere w/o extradition, or needs to feed their drug habits . . .

I assume the payment database and personal info databases are going to be out there.

There's nothing to be perplexed about here Mr. Trudeau. Our President is a corrupt, narcissistic, know-nothing moron. A guy who doesn't understand the first thing about basic economics and has largely been a grifter and a subpar businessman his whole life.

Bootlicking troll magaholic just can’t stay away.   I’m not surprised since everything he does is a fraud and lie.

Some just lack the balls or intellect… or both to be able to defend a position.

Reads like a breakup letter. Two weeks into the Musk/Trump regime and I feel like an abused child

The only thing I don’t agree with here is at the very end where he says Canada’s “closest friends and neighbors are choosing to target” them. That’s not who’s targeting them.

Yeah, I too couldn’t help but notice the guy who pledged to stay away, to whom I wished all the best on the way out, now coming back to laugh at America emptying its clip into its own foot. I wouldn’t mind hearing now how all this is making America great, but as we know, none of this is about actually making anything in America great except the Trump crew’s offshore bank accounts.

Stripping America for parts. Isn’t that great.

I think they felt they could control him. They may have to buy off some Republicans to impeach him and get Vance in office.

You mean like they controlled him the first time around? lol

i guess this will be scrubbed from the MAGA bible

Quote

Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
    for they will be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
    for they will be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
    for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

I put the same type of question to chatgpy

That sounds like you’re looking for a discussion on the potential economic consequences of extreme trade policies and financial system manipulation. If a country were to engage in reckless trade wars and interfere with the Treasury’s payment system, it could lead to severe disruptions, including:

1. Global Trade Retaliation – Imposing extreme tariffs or cutting off trade with key partners would likely provoke retaliatory measures, leading to increased costs for consumers and businesses, reduced exports, and economic contraction.

2. Supply Chain Chaos – Many industries rely on international supply chains. Disrupting trade through tariffs or bans could lead to shortages of critical goods, inflation, and economic instability.

3. Investor Panic and Market Instability – If the government interfered with Treasury payments (such as debt servicing or federal payrolls), markets could lose confidence in U.S. financial stability, triggering stock market crashes and capital flight.

4. Dollar’s Collapse as Reserve Currency – The U.S. dollar is the world’s dominant reserve currency, largely because of trust in the U.S. financial system. If that trust were undermined through reckless policies, foreign nations might reduce reliance on the dollar, leading to devaluation, higher borrowing costs, and economic decline.

5. Debt Default and Credit Downgrade – Manipulating Treasury payments could lead to missed debt payments, causing the U.S. to default. A credit downgrade would make borrowing more expensive, worsening deficits and weakening economic growth.

6. Domestic Recession or Depression – A combination of trade war fallout, inflation, and financial instability could lead to mass layoffs, business closures, and an economic downturn that could take years to recover from.

Also want to say that, despite the same guy saying we were all "hoping" for things like the tariffs, many of us weren't. Because we all have to live in this economy and with the results of these decisions. Whether we voted for them or not.
