casimir Posted March 2 Posted March 2 So, an acquaintance was telling me he bought a bottle of bourbon which was to honor President ####. He has not yet received it. He’s gotten a few messages about it being on its way but delayed for this reason or that reason or the other reason. He told me it’s gotten to the point where he’s ready to just cancel it (good luck with getting your money back). As he’s telling me this, I remember a few months ago when he tries to justify his vote for President #### by saying we all know he’s a con man, which I didn’t really understand how that benefitted his position. But I politely kept my mouth shut. Maybe if he updates me that he has lost his cash I’ll remind him that we all know he’s a con man and that’s just the cost of doing business in association of him. I've been considering this. Add what happened in January and the increased risk of recurrence given recent policy changes. Quote

I don't think Guantanamo is big enough for all the end-a-sentence-with-a-preposition violators though. Would have to find another place to send them to. 1 Quote

With the pull ahead of orders and the manufacturing that goes along with it, companies, I would presume, are trying to get ahead of the tariffs. Which means we'll see a dramatic slowdown afterwards. Is this an unfair assessment? https://www.atlantafed.org/cqer/research/gdpnow This is the right way of thinking but I don’t think that’s happening. Companies aren’t sure if he’ll cancel the tariffs at the last minute like he did last time. Quote
