I'm watching SuperMarket Sweep reruns. Interesting to see what prices were 30 years ago.

It's also interesting that there was a Marine on the show; he wasn't dressed in uniform, and we didn't have to stop for a standing ovation and have everyone thank him for his service. It was treated as just another job.

I also thought this election made it pretty clear that people want cheap stuff and are not willing to pay more in exchange for higher paying jobs.

I’m pretty sure red hat voters were told they’d have both.

It's going to hurt these folks, but I saw very few Harris signs adorning their properties. You get what you voted for

Not to worry. Farmers—by which I mean multinational agricultural corporations—are going to get their money, which is actually our money, because what else are they gonna do with all the savings from cutting all the so-called “entitlements”? They’re going to give it to their billionaire benefactors and buddies.

Reading some of the recaps.  Saw a lot of empty seats.  Heard Trump was boo'd.  Heard they had Al Greene removed.

It wasn't something I could stomach to watch.  It would be like watching the 2003 Detroit Tigers.

Didn't view it.  Watched episode 3 of White Lotus.  It finally got going, I was about bored with it. Then I watched the SNL Vault channel...

I didn't either, I don't generally watch them though... I think Biden's last year was the first one I watched in years.

Is it really that shocking though?

To be fair, Europe has been behind us in the rcovery from the 2020 economic crisis.  They could be on a different cycle of the recovery.

Slotkin is an up and comer. She's like a younger, better spoken, female version of Biden. She pisses off the leftists so you know she's good.

She's jewish, worked in the intelligence community and represents the interests of the bloated plutocrats at "Big Stadium Hot Dog"

For everyone that didn’t watch last night,  make sure to check the Slotkin and rebuttal.

She gave the speech from Wyandotte.

We had specific reasons to stay in Dearborn when we moved 11 years ago but Wyandotte would have been our second choice.

Three guesses who signed the USMCA deal - first two don't count

You can probably guess the hype that was raised at the time it was signed

Right after the bolded part is where I put my little jab at Trump.  I agreed with many points Trump had against NAFTA, but was upset when he threw that away.  All that said, I was one of the few that said the USMCA was a better deal (not amazingly better, but better)

I almost feel like he must be trolling his own followers just to see if they will back him over it.

Slotkin is getting heat from the left for the speech, but I also think it's a question of speaking to a broader electorate. I think she did well here

What bothered them?
