and it's a narrow (or maybe wide, who knows) fabric of that "Christian" church that's made up of denominations and sects that in terms of doctrine have fundamental disagreements, and fought wars over them, but the common thread that overrides those doctrinal differences are profit and control over women and fear of minorities.  JD Vance is in bed with other Christians who think he's going to hell but since they are "owning the libs" it's all good.

I think Christian nationalism functions as a real religion to people who go for that kind of thing. What it isn't is spiritual in any way.

Of course, but to be fair, I read an article months ago that stated Biden officials wanted to be more aggressive in combatting this (in birds, but with the idea that it would help decrease the chance or at least the impact once it jumped to humans) but ultimately it was decided that politically it wouldn't help Kamala, so it was downplayed.  Trump isn't the only one that likes to hide stuff that doesn't fit his narrative.

That's not what I am saying.  I am saying that hypothetically there could be a deadly disease killing millions and I fear Trump would have no qualms with covering it up.  He didn't do that with Covid, but I think he regrets it.

Our antiwar President is doing a bang up job. First, Russia's assault and war in Ukraine is still raging on. We were led to believe that he'd simply call Putin and within one day, 24 hours, the war would end. He also said that there would be no conflict in Gaza/Palestine and Israel if he had been President and that he could end that one too. Now, it looks like they are about to break the ceasefire agreement signed just weeks ago and resume the fighting. Furthermore, he just moved to send another $8 billion in weapons sales to Netanyahu in Israel. 

Boy, he's really been a mediator for peace.

The fundamental difference that I as a left wing guy have with Gym Jordan is that if I witnessed or was told about cases of sexual assault or abuse by a young adult or child, I'd bother to take their claim seriously. I'd take the time to report it and see to it that it got thoroughly investigated and justice was brought on behalf of the young adults or children who were violated.

Furthermore, could you imagine Barack Obama coming in and firing civil servants in the manner that Musk and Trump are doing. I'm sure Gym wouldn't be silent about it if Obama were doing what Musk and Trump are doing.
