Why didn't he just do an executive order lowering inflation?

They're still working on blowing up the agency and discontinuing reports. It would have been done sooner but Musk's pesky kids keep getting the way. (Both the real and fake ones)

Just tell all the stores to lower their prices.

It's still Biden's fault, right?

We were promised it would be fixed immediately.

Yes actually. From investing thread:

The Labor Department on Wednesday reported that consumer prices in January rose 3% from a year earlier. That marked a pickup from December, when prices rose 2.9% from a year earlier.

ummm.. the January increase (0.5%) was more than the December increase (0.4%).

The interesting question is whether Trump will be more worried about inflation or more dedicated to tariffs. In the current environment he can't be both because tariff's are a direct add-on to prices. Even if he were to get onshoring (which he won't without investment support) it will still be at the higher price level.

2.9 in December ot 3.0 in January correct? so .10%? This is also tracking a four month trend upward. It did not start on 1/20/25 lol

This is going to devastate an industry that is already going through very challenging times. Please support your local brewery before it’s too late.

Unfortunately, I already think it’s too late.   Established breweries all over the country closed in the past year.  Many good ones here in Michigan.

Yup. RIP Ascension and many other good ones. This isn’t going to help many of those trying to hang on.
