CMRivdogs Posted Sunday at 11:24 PM Posted Sunday at 11:24 PM But just tell those whose hopes may have been shutdown by Trump Regime incompetence to just "suck it up and move on" Right MAGAOLIC Quote Quote Every day, they tackled complex issues with life-or-death stakes: A failure to get donor organs to critically ill patients. Tobacco products designed to appeal to kids. Maternal and infant death. They were hired after lawmakers and bureaucrats debated and negotiated and persuaded their colleagues — sometimes over the course of years — to make those problems someone’s job to solve. Then, this month, they were fired as part of President Donald Trump’s widespread purge of federal workers. Suddenly, the future of their public health missions was in question. Quote

I'm convinced Dan Campbell was a Republican. I don't want to know if he still is and/or a Trumper. Quote

Honestly do not know.... I have hard that Colt Keith's SO has shared MAGA stuff on her social media. But that's just one player. Quote
oblong Posted Monday at 01:59 PM Posted Monday at 01:59 PM I give most of them a pass because I doubt they are out there absorbing all of this and researching issues, etc. These are people who have been living basball since their middle school years. During a season it's all they do and if they played in travel leagues as kids then their summers and weekends were taken up. Quote
Edman85 Posted Monday at 02:06 PM Posted Monday at 02:06 PM I was saying I know Flaherty, Holton, and Brebbia off the top of my head would probably not visit this White House. 1 Quote

Motown Bombers Posted Monday at 02:24 PM Posted Monday at 02:24 PM If Javy Baez went to the White House, Trump would send him to Gitmo even though he's Puerto Rican and I don't think fans would be upset. It seems like the Tigers have an unusually high number of white players. They aren't woke and making DEI hires. 1 Quote

Tyler Holton isn't one I would expect, although likely a bit of judging a book by it's cover Quote

I do remember him doing a vaccination PSA or something, so that may be where I was getting that. I do know Flaherty was ostracized by the greatest fan base in the world for speaking out in favor of BLM. Edited Monday at 02:54 PM by Edman85 Quote

Plus, most of them are from the south, so even if they did look into the issues, they would be heavily influenced by MAGA. I think the NFL players are protesting Trump because there are so many Black players and they have to protect their teammates even if they are not on board with all the issues. MLB is much whiter in demographics and culture, so maybe they wouldn't push back so hard. I don't know. Quote

It seems like the Tigers have an unusually high number of white players. They aren't woke and making DEI hires. I noticed this the other day, too. As of last season, about 32% of MLB players are Latin, another 6% African American, and 3% Asian, which adds up to about 42% non-white. The Tigers projected 26-man roster as of this morning is 21 white (81%), three Latin (12%), one Asian, and one African American (remember, Flaherty identifies as black). And one of those Latins is a hip pointer away from being replaced by another (sub-replacement) white guy. I'm willing to believe that this was a random consequence of front office philosophies in rebuilding the organization and not an explicit ethnic cleansing of the roster. That said, the paucity of obviously African Americans on the team can't be helping with rebuilding fandom among black Detroiters. Quote

Motown Bombers Posted Monday at 05:10 PM Posted Monday at 05:10 PM Trump just picks people who likes on Fox News. It's like when Willie Clay Ford hired Matt Millen. He saw him call some games and was like this guy is smart and hired him. Quote
