She was willing to try to a deal with the devil to get needed resources from the federal government for her state, the kind every governor in the nation needs for their state and has received in the past. But I suppose she could have stuck to your apparently preferred strategy of Try Nothing Get Nothing.

LOL you don't just get something from Trump. If Trump gives you anything, there is definitely a quid pro quo. How did she end up being the only governor played like that? Whitmer was governor during COVID when Trump was president and Michigan needed resources from the federal government and she didn't get made a fool like that. BTW, did she actually get anything for Michigan?

So who was hurt by what she did or tried to do?  What harm was caused. Is any Michigander worse off today due to her visiting DC?

She was harmed. If she tries to run for president, every Dem in the primary will be showing the picture of her trying to hide in the Oval Office.

She may have done what she had to do politically, but if a Republican groveled to Trump, that person would be ridiculed here (Rubio or Graham for example).  She's fair game.

I keep going back to the fact that it is plainly evident at this point that you aren't getting anything out of this guy at this point. It's just a pointless exercise. It makes me question her judgment as a practitioner of politics.

But I'm not a current constituent of hers so my mileage might be different from someone who is.

My son was in scouting from 2007-2013.  Cubs through a few years of Boy Scouts.

Their changes are the natural result of who is participating at the kid and leader level.  I'd say 1/3 of the leaders were women.  Our particular troop had a large presence of the female "Sea Scouts".  Councils were running low on money and merging so if you want the org to survive there has to be consolidation of operations and if that means combining the boys and girls so be it.

Looks to me as though they don’t want to raise boys to be thoughtful and sensitive. Looks as though they would prefer to raise boys to be inconsiderate and aggressive. Perhaps they have a particular vision in mind for what role in society such boys will fill.

I am an Eagle Scout (once an Eagle, always an Eagle they say). Our troop was in a small town with a great leader and program that probably can't be duplicated now. Most every kid who stuck with it attained the rank.

My son tried scouts, just wasn't his interest. I probably wasn't much help since my work hours at the time conflicted with troop events. I was also a bit critical of the adult leadership at the time (30 plus years ago). 
 

Times change and scouting has tried to keep up. I guess being Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Brave, Clean and Reverent is considered to the antithesis of the current group of our nation's leaders.
