Literally not what anybody here said

Well, did they do something suspect for some sort of quid pro quo?  And is it a leftist position to be offended by a Nazi salute by the richest plutocrat on the planet who is now an unassailable director of some amorphous group that won't be subject to congressional oversight or any other controls on the US Government?

LOL at people who identify as Christians criticizing a bishop for saying we should have mercy and compassion for people.....  it exposes a lot.

Even more accurate is to say it shines a light on what we already know.

I was thinking the same thing.

For a President to characterize a sermon like hers as “inappropriate” was shocking… but to then have a slew of people agreeing with this is a huge red flag.

We are in for a world of cruelty and purposeful pain for those among us who deserve neither.

This effectively destroys the soul of all of us.  It’s abominable.

and the criticism comes from people who wear their version of Christianity on their sleeve and cry when you go after them as if you are "anti religion" but don't think twice about their hypocrisy when they do this. I grew up with these people.  I see it going on right now.  It's their version of Christianity or the highway.  The first problem they see here is a female bishop.  For them they can't even get past that.

The merging of religion and potlics that took off with Falwell is the main reason why the church as a whole is dying off.  The leaders are too busy counting their money to look in the mirror.

So now "a little infation" is good?

I mean.... he might not be wrong.... Economics is complex and I stay in my lane but I doubt he says that 6 months ago.

Can't speak to whether he's referring to something related to his lane, but as a purely political matter, how anybody could watch what happened in 2022 and 2023 and think "oh yeah, what's the big deal about a little inflation" is beyond my comprehension.

This is the case where these sorts of Christians, not only endorsing or voting for Donald Trump, embracing him causes them to lose all credibility.

The guy is just an amoral person, someone who clearly lacks any sort of faith or spirit. I can't judge where his soul lies, that's above my pay grade, but just on his deeds and actions, that's what I see in how he comports himself.

Really people shouldn't judge others for there faith, but the kinds of people you describe, as far as I'm concerned, have forfeited any sort of credibility or moral high ground on anything

These are the same congregants who criticize "liberal" ministers who preach on the Beatitudes. To me the Sermon on the Mount is the basis of what should be Christianity. Now Christianity has become a political force, not what was ever intended by the guy they are supposed to be worshiping, at least according to what I learned in Sunday School.

To be clear I'm not critiquing Christian faith, my beef is with those who don't practice what they preach.

Dimon is apparently weighing the risks of some inflation against what he sees as a greater risk, that being national security. I’d be interested in hearing his security concerns in more detail.

Trump ran on pardoning J6'ers and was elected. Biden spent a year saying he would not pardon lil Hunter and turns around and does it. THEN his whole family. Apologists till then end.

Pardons for non-violent J6 defendants. Not a blanket pardon for them all. And Trump also said the death penalty for drug dealers...and then he pardoned the owner of Silk Road, a site that sells drugs, as well as human trafficking and other highly illegal activities. All for getting Libertarian votes. Pure corruption....

The right wing extremism group ADL has already weighed in.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), a nonprofit focused on combating antisemitism, defended tech billionaire Elon Musk’s “awkward” gesture during a Monday celebratory event which some critics panned as a fascist salute.

“This is a delicate moment. It’s a new day and yet so many are on edge. Our politics are inflamed, and social media only adds to the anxiety,” the ADL wrote in a Monday post on Musk’s social platform X. “It seems that @elonmusk made an awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm, not a Nazi salute, but again, we appreciate that people are on edge.”

Musk's family has a history of supporting Nazis. This is from Grok, on the Musk social media app;

Living that Christian high life! Hard pass. Wolf in sheep’s clothing. She is an activist. She also lives in a sprawling mansion, look it up.

Net Worth and Financial Contributions

Mariann Edgar Budde’s estimated net worth of $1 million is derived from her salary as a bishop, her published works, and speaking engagements. However, her focus has consistently been on service rather than personal wealth.

As a leader, she ensures that church resources are allocated towards community development, charitable initiatives, and supporting marginalized groups.

It was just too cumbersome for Trump to wade thru all 160 who were jailed. Come on, there are more important things like fleecing old people, poor people, brown people, defrauding small business, finding new ways to enrich himself and his family, drinking gallons and gallons of Diet Coke...

Anglicans don't take a vow of poverty. Look to your own flock. How much mare Kenneth Copeland, The Pat Robertson estate, Joel Osteen and company make.

I'm old enough to remember when Thomas Roads Baptist was a small church.

Clean up your own house first.

Low or moderate inflation is good for an economy. I don’t know what Dimon considers low or moderate but no inflationary pressure is not a good thing. So taking his words literally, he’s more right than wrong.
The years 2022 and 2023 were a result of the Covid fiasco and how that was handled. The actions taken at every level of the federal government set escalating inflation up for a nice run. Powell & his gurus made a mistake cutting rates last year. Average Joe’s have a better read on the economy than the fed.

a 64 year old having a net worth "estimated" at $1M is not living the high life.  A modest paid off house can cover half of that.

Especially in Washington DC.

Can we say the same about those that cast the first stone

And yet inflation was lower in the US than any other peer country.

Tell that to all the commenters on this board. I don’t know that they’d be celebrating?
