a 64 year old having a net worth "estimated" at $1M is not living the high life.  A modest paid off house can cover half of that.

About a quarter of the US households headed by a 60-64 year old have a net worth of $1,000,000 or more.  You can live a comfortable life on that but you still have to keep working and saving.  Being a millionaire is not that big of a big deal anymore.

Disparaging a member of the clergy asking for compassion for vulnerable groups, because,  of course.   Not a one of us didn't totally expect this exact reaction.

Attacking her personally is all they have... because at the end of the day, she is right. And they all know it.

On the contrary. Dimon the pig (no argument there) worries big time about inflation. Why? Because his bank makes a killing on it. From a week ago from CNBC;

He is probably the most powerful banker in the world, and has been for quite some time. He was buds with Barry O.

Did Obama give Jamie Dimon presidential cufflinks? JPMorgan Chase boss shows off inscribed set at senate banking committee

article-0-1397F82C000005DC-294_468x300.j

His bank and the other criminal banks that blew up the financial system in 2008 got bailed out to the tune of trillions (with a T (front door and back door)). Imagine that! These people (Wall Street banks) own DC, including Trump and every President before him, including St. Obama, the biggest bank whore in the history of bank whores.

Glad that my post led to a good screwball bank rant!

**** the banks.

On the inflation thing. The Fed can't control it, and the government doesn't measure it correctly. The rest is BS.

Dang, Trump just made us all female...

https://mashable.com/article/trump-executive-order-sex-female-male-gender

Quote

Entitled "Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government," Trump's executive order concerning gender identity states that the U.S. government only recognises two sexes, male and female. It also provides explicit definitions of each which are to be applied to all interpretations of law.

"'Sex' shall refer to an individual’s immutable biological classification as either male or female," Trump's executive order declares. "'Female' means a person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the large reproductive cell. 'Male' means a person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the small reproductive cell."

Though Trump's goal to impose a "binary nature of sex" may seem clear, the specific wording, technicalities, and application of his executive order are far from it.

Conception is the point when sperm and egg join, otherwise known as fertilisation. Regardless of whether they have an XX, XY, or an alternate chromosome pattern, all human foetuses' sex organs are identical at conception in that they have none. Foetuses subsequently develop in the same manner as each other regardless of their chromosomes until approximately six to seven weeks after conception, at which point the Y chromosome typically expresses itself by inducing the development of testes. If a Y chromosome does not do this, the foetus will continue to develop female genitalia.

I want to know how Caitlyn Jenner feels about this and what restroom he used at Trump's Hideout in Florida

You willing to bet voters feel that way if inflation starts going up towards 4, 5, 6% again?

I’d bet they (we) would. That’s a separate conversation than Dimon was having though. Again, I’d like to hear  him expound in detail on the comment he made in the attachment above

She made a very irresponsible decision. Unfortunately it cost her in a big way.

Do you believe it warranted her being fired? Assuming this was a personal account?

It's OK because Trump said he wants to cancel weather reports anyway. They will all lose their jobs

Except that it won't.  For one, it's 2025.  Start a podcast. It also says she's a regular on sports talk radio.  Also,  you do know meteorologists don't just work in TV?  I mean, it's not like she made racist remarks, insulted the disabled, cheated on her spouse with a porn star and tried to overthrow the government...that would be career ending, right?

My thing is that you have actual news outlets that have reported on this particular gesture with the characterization she used in her posts.

Reasonable minds can disagree, but I find it pretty troubling.

Musk made a much more irresponsible decison doing Nazi salutes during the innauguration.  I don't know why he did it, but I believe he knew exactly what he was doing and how it would be received.  The autism excuse is bull****.

yeah - it's curious. Even accepting his claim of Asperger's, which may make one 'socially awkward',  there now seems to be some effort to conflate that into 'physically awkward' in Musk's defense when there is no such connection.
