Tigeraholic1 Posted January 23 Author Posted January 23 Biden pre-pardons opens the door for all future presidential regimes to offer pre-paid pardons to anyone in their administration since he set the precedent. Should come up with a catchy name like the Biden-blanket. He does seem more like a quilt guy but does not rhyme. Quote

These aren't new. And as if Trump needed someone to open a door for his fat ass to do something unprecedented. 1 Quote
Tigeraholic1 Posted January 23 Author Posted January 23 Huh, when was the last pardon a president dished out to anyone NOT accused or charged with a crime? Quote

It's bull**** he did it, but at the same time, bull**** he was essentially forced to do it. Trump and even folks he put up for cabinet spots have threatened to go after these people and refuse to address the fact there is no public evidence to even suggest his claims. 1 Quote

ewsieg Posted January 23 Posted January 23 And note, when I say no public evidence, i'm referring to everyone he gave pre-pardons to minus Hunter and the brother. They definitely did shady stuff outside of the illegal stuff Hunter actually did. Quote

CMRivdogs Posted January 23 Posted January 23 https://www.history.com/news/7-famous-presidential-pardons Quote The first-ever act of presidential forgiveness came in the wake of an armed rebellion. Fed up with a costly federal tax on distilled spirits, in 1794 a group of whiskey-producing Pennsylvania farmers took to the streets and burned the home of a local tax inspector. The attack came on the heels of several other protests and many politicians—most notably Secretary Alexander Hamilton—argued that it threatened the stability of the newly formed United States. Faced with the possibility of a widespread uprising, President George Washington reluctantly marched a 13,000-strong militia into western Pennsylvania to quell the rebellion. Some 20 members of the mob were arrested, and two were convicted of treason and sentenced to death by hanging. Desperate to avoid further discontent, Washington chose to pardon both men in July 1795. oblong Posted January 23 Posted January 23 If you know your family is going to be targeted by crazy people who will be in power and they will have to spend money on lawyers, etc. and you had the ability to put an end to it.... you would do it. I would do it. What's unprecedented is the direct threats and targeting of a political rivals family with zero evidence to support it. He was put in that position. if a guy is standing in front of me and threatening to kill me and I finally punch him in the face, am I wrong for punching him in the face or do I have to wait until he makes a move?
