RatkoVarda Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago the racism is bad obviously, but this is worse. Zuck is paying a $25M bribe to the MAGA moron to settle a phoney META lawsuit that the buffoon filed after his account was suspended after J6. The court is about to toss it out as nonsense, but Zuck wants a seat to the oligarch's table, so they are paying up. Will lead to multiple shareholders suits as paying $25M when the idiot plaintiff has no case is a clear violation of D&O duties. Musk reportedly going to pay the same amount to dismiss the equally ridiculous claim the moron filed against Twitter. Pure, blatant corruption that the press aggressively avoid seeing 1 Quote

mtutiger Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago This is being lost in the woods as well.... the chances are very likely that the air traffic controllers aren't even to blame for this. Quote

Sports_Freak Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Didn't that orange guy with the funny looking eyebrows say that the Ohio train derailment wouldn't have happened if HE was president? The same guy who lifted safety regulations that may have caught the problems? The same guy who shuttered CDC offices in Wuhan before covid hit? Yeah, the CDC may very well have contained that virus and it would have prevented a pandemic? So, to sum up, every single covid death is the fault of the guy who said he "takes NO responsibility." I don't really remember too many plane crashes during the Biden years. I mean, there had to be some, wasn't there? Quote

I agree. From a distance and with scant information it looks like a series of failures. One from what I've read of the ATC conversation with the Army Helicopter where after asking if the copter saw the other aircraft it seems that there was no follow-up as to exact location of the AA flight. Also it was reported it was a training flight, my question there is who was piloting the copter. I've also read an eyewitness report from a reporter on his way home who saw the incoming flights along the river and just missed the actual crash that it was very dark at the time so there may have been some limited visibility. I'll wait on the "official" reports before assessing blame. I will say as a former airborne traffic reporter in Chicago who spent a small amount of time in a Jet Ranger in the 90s, the scariest part of the ride was the times we flew over O'Hare at about 400 ft. I mean directly over the main terminal during morning or afternoon drive. (I spent most of my time in a fixed wing, but occasionally filled in in the copter) Quote

It's getting more obvious by the day that Trump stole the election, with the help of Russia, Musk, Starlink and the corrupt surge protectors. No way would any real American vote for hate, lies and total corruption. Quote

The copter uses a radio transmission and the plane uses air traffic control communication? Quote
mtutiger Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago For whatever issues there were with a Reagan Presidency, badly wish we could get back to a time when *this* was how a leader talked to the country after a tragedy. Some did this part better than others, but this guy just isn't capable of it at all Quote

His feelings are hurt because The Fed didn't obey his order to lower interest rates. Now, this stupid plane crash is making him look bad. It's a tough time for him. Lol...that reminds me of a couple of weeks ago when I was complaining about the Lions loss to my son...he said "I'm sorry that happened to you." That stopped me in mid-sentence. 😆😆 Quote

Since I was basically a passenger back then I can't say. I could hear ATC on my headset, but paid more attention to the stations I was reporting for at the time. Quote
CMRivdogs Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago (edited) This isn't the exact thread I saw this morning. But it comes close to some of the real issues that should be raised in conjunction with last night's crash There is more here if you unroll the thread Edit...found the thread. As far a I have always understood, Military aircraft operating in civilian controlled airspace are in the ATC system. 1 Quote

Yes, Biden has a plane-steering machine. Quote
