With all this data deleting going on, I could very well see the BLS suppressing the inevitable inflation data coming in the next few years.

Yes, this is exactly what I was talking about with a friend last night. Prices for everything could double in the next month and B*S will cook the numbers to come out to 1%.

Wouldn't be surprised, but people don't need inflation data from BLS to know it's happening, they sense every time they buy, so people will know.

To this end, there were a few times during late 2023 I would talk about inflation subsiding (just going off BLS numbers) and people would dismiss it out of hand.

People go off their lived experiences, not government statistics. For better or worse.

This was in reference to a NYT piece interviewing someone in El Paso who said they regretted their vote (ie Leopards eating faces circumstances)

We have to stop thinking in generalities, these types of people are inevitably going to exist. As easy it is to go to vindictiveness, people need to act with grace and save their ire for the candidate and now POTUS and his cronies who are inflicting the damage

I've been avoiding this forum on purpose, as well as limiting my news intake, simply to help ensure my own well being.  This ****upery from Trump is next level.  Roughly 10 days in and it's shaping up to be such a monumental disaster.  The only thing I wonder is if the economy begins to tank, does he back out of everything and kick out Elon, or does he see this through.

I think as long as he's making money or that there are people gushing over him, he'll see it through. Unless of course Elon gives him the boot and completes a coup somehow. 

As for the others in this admin? Judging from his first term, we could probably have a running bet as to how long each member will end up lasting.
