MichiganCardinal Posted yesterday at 12:59 AM Posted yesterday at 12:59 AM The problem with the Bears is that it’s not a quick turnaround. It’s easy for people look at the offense and see weapons and a mobile QB and think they should be a nine-win team from the jump, but you have a porous OL and a QB who is seeing ghosts, to go with a mediocre defense at best… How many OL can you draft and start immediately? I think you need at least three replacements to make that a strength, and Poles doesn’t inspire confidence to find one, let alone three. Meanwhile, that very GM who I don’t trust to find an OL doesn’t have two or three years. He’s got one. Just seems like a train that’s already on the tracks to a two-and-done, even if it’s not even Johnson’s fault. Quote

Ben was getting hammered on a thread on Reddit. But I don't care about stranger's opinions, I have my own. And it's basically what you said in this post. I appreciate what he did for our players and offense but it's going to be much different in Chicago. In Detroit, he had the players to execute his offensive plays, very good players. Even if they have 2 good drafts, the Bears would have to hit on multiple positions to get their talent level up and that's just on offense. I'm not sure how their salary cap situation is but again....unless they target the right players, that could set them back. I really would have thought the Bears would have wanted Glenn before Johnson. But whatever, see 'ya. Quote

The whole world knows Williams holds the ball in the pocket longer than any QB in football. Quote

Motown Bombers Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago I'm surprised Glenn wanted the Jets job. Guess the upside is if Rodgers returns, his diva act isn't going to fly with Glenn. Quote
Jimbo Posted 13 hours ago Author Posted 13 hours ago If I had a choice I would keep out team intact (coaching wise). Although now that it seems like we're going to lose both, it gives Holmes/Campbell some opportunities and I have full faith in them. It amuses me seeing people bash Johnson all of sudden. Its just fans still needing therapy after Sat. Losing Glen will give us a 3rd compensation pick which will be nice since we don't have one this year. What fans have to grasp is we are actually a destination now. Coaches have to feel like being on the Lions offers them the best opportunity because of the talent we have. Quote
Hongbit Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago This a great move for AG because it’s the Jets. If he can turn it around, he’s a legend and a head coach for a long time. If he can’t, the rest of the league won’t hold it against him. Saleh still got HC interviews this cycle because it was the Jets. Worst case is he gets fired in 1 or 2 years, he’s able to collect on his contract until he gets his pick of top DC jobs. He’s back where he started but with HC experience on his resume and a whole lot more cash. Quote
Hongbit Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Rumored to be a $13M a year deal. That’s $2M more than Campbell. It’s gross that he went to the most hated team but people can’t be mad at him for that kind of money. Quote
