In terms of the Lions, I'm a bit surprised that Holmes hasn't brought in a defensive end after cutting Za'Darius. I assumed he had something bigger cooking when he made that move and it hasn't materialized. Still way early in free agency though so makes me wonder if it's a trade he's looking at.

He may be waiting Smith to check around and end up bringing him back for significantly less than the approx $11 mil in cap hit (spread over next 2 years) he would have cost for next year.

Still a couple Tier 3 rushers available, along with Smith. You have guys like Bosa, Miller, Fowler, Ojulari, Judon, and Lawrence.

Lions get one comp pick in 2025 in the 3rd round for losing Aaron Glenn.

They're "bringing in" Aidan Hutchinson. Then they re-signed Marcus Davenport from the bargain basement, and they will wait for FA market to settle before bringing in one or two other pieces.

I would have made that deal and thought Bosa was a player Brad would target. He has the injury history that Brad likes and did end up coming at a better value than several other defensive lineman in this free agent class. Didn't we pay Davenport $10 million last offseason?

Davenport got 1 year $6.5 million with $3 million guaranteed. Bosa got $12 million guaranteed, literally double Davenport's contract.

On AZ boards they're bummed to lose Lopez and call him a "Campbell type of player." Looks like  nice pickup. Brad seems to be banking on the draft for an edge

Looks like Rams are releasing Kupp. I know edge needs to be addressed, but I love Kupp's toughness and he might come fairly cheap

Kupp and Goff have a history together. I'm not sure Kupp fits the X receiver they need. I'm surprised Reynolds hasn't signed with the Lions yet.

Willing to take WR3 money? And OK with possibly limited touches? He and Goff have a history together? Maybe Brad can make him an offer. But I would bet he doesn't want what the Lions offer.

Kupp is basically a #3 at this point in his career. I have a feeling though someone is going to give him a contract that is too rich for the Lions. I think the only possible way is if he decides to take less to play on a contender with his old buddy.

All of the Lions 2021 draft picks got 2nd contracts with the Lions except for Melifonwu who you could of argued the Lions should have signed.

I think Jermar Jefferson is still on the practice squad.
