Mr.TaterSalad Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I know it won't happen, but on Valenti's show today they are talking about Trey Hendrickson. Valenti went as far as saying if he had to, he'd let a Branch, Joseph, or LaPorta walk when their rookie deals are up if it meant having Hendrickson now. He said he would trade for Hendrickson and offer him 3 years @ $105 million with $80 million guaranteed. If it were up to you, would you make a trade to get Hendrickson that involved multiple high picks and then sign him to the above 3 year deal? Would you be ok with getting Hendrickson if it meant you lost one of your high profile starters like Branch, Joseph, or LaPorta? Quote
Dan Gilmore Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago No. Another example of your latch onto an idea and never let go. And why listen to that crap? 1 1 Quote

Do you feel this team would be more successful without Hendrickson on it then? If the goal is to win a Super Bowl, doesn't Hendrickson on this team in the immediate here and now for next season help get us closer to achieving that goal? Howie Roseman and the Eagles went out and made two big moves when they signed Saquon Barkley and Bryce Huff and that certainly worked out in their favor and helped get them to a Super Bowl. The year before the 49'ers made a big move and added Javon Hargrave, who was a big part of their defense that got them to a Super Bowl. Quote

Even if Brad were to find the next superstar in the draft, could we sign him as well as Hutch, Branch and Kirby? As for taking on Hendrikson and giving him a huge contract? IDK..I mean, I don't see Brad doing that anyway so there's no point in thinking about it. Just...not happening. Quote

Jason_R Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago (edited) If Hutch stayed healthy last year the Lions would have won the Super Bowl. No need for a major move. Edited 14 hours ago by Jason_R Quote
