I don’t know, but I feel like we haven’t quite seen the best of this offense yet. I expect them to be dialed in this weekend.

Fine tuning is a good word. In most games this year, it’s felt like there has been meat left on the bone by the offense. It’s not fair to expect a touchdown on every single possession, but that’s the kind of output that it feels like this offense is capable of.

If the offense plays four complete quarters to potential, no team in the NFL can beat them.

I’m anxious, like I should be, but I’m also confident.

This team under Dan Campbell has never lost a game like this before. I can count on one hand the number of games that they should have won but came up short. 2024 Bucs, 2023 Cowboys and Bears, 2022 Panthers. Two of those I can legitimately attribute in part to external factors (officials and field conditions). None of those games had the kind of implications this one does.

25% blowout win (17+), 25% comfortable win (9-16), 45% close win (1-8), 5% loss

Prediction

Detroit 38

Washington 27

I don't think the Cowboys game was one they should have won. Dallas was good that year and looked like a juggernaut at home.

I agree. I almost edited the post afterwards and took it out. They should have won, but it’s not something you’d have said before the game.

I like the Lions at home by a lot.   I don’t see the Washington defense stopping our offense.  It’s a big mismatch.     Wash have gotten here through good fortune as much as talent and that ends tomorrow

Lions 45

Redskins 14

I am so sold on this team! I see national score predictions, high majority, being within a TD, like 31-27…

Like we’ve seen in other games, I can see a score that’s closer than the actual play late, then the Lions pull away.

All that and I won’t predict a score. I just don’t think it’ll be as close as many seem to think. Lions cover easily, last I saw is 9.5!

I was watching Washington against Tampa and Daniels was calling a lot of plays at the line of scrimmage. Yeah, good luck with that at Ford Field. 😆😆

The Lions have no shot of winning this game. They're getting destroyed.    Remember the 41-10 drubbing in 1992 ?   We're gonna have a similar fate tonight.   Only question is - after Goff goes down in the 1st quarter, will it be Teddy B or Hendon?

No way the Lions win this game.

What’s you plans today? We live vicariously through you on game days and we really need to know today! 😂

“It’s hard, but you have to treat it like any other game.”

My buddy from undergrad is driving up from Chicago for this one. Reservations at a new place downtown, Javier’s, then aiming to be inside by 7pm. Refraining from speaking until then, need to rest the vocal chords.

I'm rooting for the Lions though there is some attachment to the Washington Team since my local roots go back to Sonny Jurgensen and The Hogs.

My lions loyalty goes back to the few days before Matt Miller, when I officially became Lionized in the 2000 Bears fiasco.

Also thinking about contacting the Washington team about a name change. Anacosta River Hawks

I'm expecting a solid win by the Lions today. I simply don't think Washington has the defensive talent, especially in their back 7 and secondary, to stop what our offensive is going to throw at them. Ben Johnson is going to be firing on all cylinders and utilizing all sorts of motion, deception, trickery, and play action out of his playbook. I don't think this will be a Minnesota like blowout, but I do think we get an early lead and stay consistent throughout and win. LET'S ****ING GO LIONS!!!!!!!!!!!
