lordstanley Posted February 8 Author Posted February 8 I'm not really up on advanced stats in hockey. Broadly speaking, what does "average game score" try to measure and how is it calculated? Seen as a reliable measure? Quote

The Red Wings owe Mr. Kucherov for that dirty play on Ras at the end of the last game. If that hadn't been at the end of the game I would have expected someone from the Wings to have a bit of a chat with Mr. Kucherov, but as much as winning would be the best revenge, they owe him a "conversation" early in tomorrow's game. You can't let guys do that to your mates. Something has to happen from the Wings. Quote
lordstanley Posted February 8 Author Posted February 8 Ouch, Lyon lets in a softie 90 seconds into the game. Quote
lordstanley Posted February 8 Author Posted February 8 2-0. Lyon pulled! Only 3 minutes into the game. Quote

lordstanley Posted February 8 Author Posted February 8 4-1. 4 goals on 7 shots. Let’s hope for a high scoring affair. Quote
lordstanley Posted February 8 Author Posted February 8 4-2. Sid Abel would have called this a loosely-goosey game. Cardinal getting his money’s worth I’d say. Quote

lordstanley Posted February 8 Author Posted February 8 Finally, the goal had been coming and DeBrincat gets it. 4-3 with 5:31 left in 2nd. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted February 8 Posted February 8 29-11 lead in SOG but down 4-3. Feels like the right decision by McLellon by pull Lyon. Quote
lordstanley Posted February 8 Author Posted February 8 Wings looking really good. Outshooting Tampa 28-11. Win or lose today, Wings needn’t fear any team if they keep playing like this. Quote
lordstanley Posted February 8 Author Posted February 8 Bolts had been buzzing and now it is 5-3 Quote

Pettersson is potentially the game changing player we've been missing to make us into a Cup Contender. 90 and 100 point players aren't often available on the market, trade or free agency. If indeed he's available I'd be in an aggressive pursuit of him. I'd be willing to pay a hefty price too. My guess is Vancouver doesn't just want picks, but wants young, up and coming talent that can contribute soon, within the next season or two. I'll take a shot at this . . . Wings get: Elias Pettersson Canucks get: Nate Danielson, Michael Brandsegg-Nygard, Trey Augustine, Andrew Copp, and a 2025 1st Edited February 8 by Mr.TaterSalad Quote
Hongbit Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Vancouver sits in the last wild card spot. They aren’t trading their best Petersson for prospects. However, much can change in a month. Side note - I wouldn’t trade Danielson or MBN right now. Quote

This from an Islanders’ beat reporter: IDK, if has been reported, Miller was the guy who was bent on making like difficult for Pettersson, wouldn't it make sense that you want to see if Pettersson plays better (or at least shows some sign of rebuilding his trade value) with Miller gone? Or I suppose the other possibility is that if Miller was so much the leader of that locker room, that the rest of team is going to hold his trade against Pettersson and his situation in Vancouver just goes from bad to worse? In any case, if he's now made a reputation for himself as not being mentally tough enough, his trade value might be pretty depressed as I can't think of a worse rep to have in the NHL. Quote
