I don’t see this as nearly the same as saying Trump is Biden is Trump. If I have to fault Stewart here, it’s that he didn’t have the foresight to understand that Trump would set about immediately destroying the country through chaos and confusion. To be fair, not many people outside of me were saying exactly that.

But to break down what he’s saying above, it reads to me as, the institutions are strong enough to keep this country alive even if Trump is elected, and just electing Biden isn’t enough by itself to save the country and make the Trump problem go away. Criticize Stewart for the first point as you like, but even you have to admit he’s right on the second point.

No, he's not right on the second point. Electing Biden would have saved the country. Trump is going to be a threat after he's dead. Stewart is literally saying bad things would happen if Biden won. What bad things? He makes it sound as if you're screwed either way and this doesn't even get to the fact he was using right wing disinformation to smear Biden. Now, he's pants on fire about the crisis we have because Trump is president. What happened to well bad things will happen if either guy wins?

Tesla boycotting Tesla. Couldn't happen to a better set of folks. I'm playing my tiny violin for them

I saw a conservative leaning guy on X laughing at the Tesla boycott because 'everyone knows boycotts don't put a dent in major corporations, just look at Budweiser, it's not like they went out of business'.

Umm, it was your folks boycotting Budweiser.  It also cost them market share.

I stopped drinking Budweiser a long, long, time ago. Then I drank it when Busch Gardens had the free brewery tour. I haven't been there in forever either. Also I've never rooted for the Cardinals after they screwed me in 1964, but then it was probably the Yankees fault

I found out today I lost my job. It's not a surprise as I saw it coming for a couple years now so I've prepared and have enough finances to last me about two years barring unforeseen expenses. Guess this is the sacrifice we have to make for Musk and Trump's economy. The dread that has been over this company as it circled the drain had become a lot. I do feel liberated today and I'm going to troll John James so more.

That's terrible.  How far from retirement are you?    Run for office.  No kidding.  Go find the "run for something" website and get on their radar.   Be the antibodies to the pandemic of idiocy.

I'm barely 40. I could run for congress in MI-10.

Tesla's absolute sales rate is falling in an expanding market.

Sorry about the news MB.  What type of work do you do?  Also, while I think you also have Trump derangement syndrome, I would love to see more TDS in congress.

I have terrible people skills. If you think Biden was bad at speeches and debate, I don't even know how to put together a campaign. We used to have a real nutter on city council in my district. if he can do it, I can do it.
