Former colleague of mine who left for NASA says he knows things about SpaceX that he can't say and wishes he could divulge.

Then went on to hint that all of his companies are ponzies that were about to be exposed by the Feds.

Piece together what you will, especially after the SpaceX explosion a couple months ago.

Explosions are what SpaceX does best

It's not a coincidence he's making a fuss about the "stranded" astronauts on the ISS.  They are not stranted.  They are not stranded.

But saying that makes Boeing look bad so it's good for business.

Yes, there was a "failure" on the part of Boeing but that's why they did waht they did... to test.  When you test and find something, is it a failure?  No.  You are investigating and learning. And guess what?  There's a space station you can dock to and be safe while you learn, instead of trapped inside of a Gemini Capsule in orbit wondering if you can get home (Gemini VII for those who want to learn)

That's why Neil Armstrong of all people became an astronaut in the first place.  It wasn't to be a hero or legend or to get to do things others couldn't.  Not an ego trip.  He was  a scientist first and foremost and spaceflight was a discipline he could do so he wanted to learn.  It's why he almost immediately went back to university to teach.

Doubly ironic coming from Elon, whose always stresses that exact point whenever  SpaceX has one their "alternately scheduled vehicle disassemblies"

There is a war brewing inside the executive branch

Quote

We swore to serve the American people and uphold our oath to the Constitution across presidential administrations,” the 21 staffers wrote in a joint resignation letter, a copy of which was obtained by The Associated Press. “However, it has become clear that we can no longer honor those commitments.”

The employees also warned that many of those enlisted by Musk to help him slash the size of the federal government under President Donald Trump’s administration were political ideologues who did not have the necessary skills or experience for the task ahead of them.

The mass resignation of engineers, data scientists and product managers is a temporary setback for Musk and the Republican president’s tech-driven purge of the federal workforce. It comes amid a flurry of court challenges that have sought to stall, stop or unwind their efforts to fire or coerce thousands of government workers out of jobs.

The staffers who resigned worked for what was once known as the United States Digital Service, an office established during President Barack Obama’s administration after the botched rollout of Healthcare.gov, the web portal that millions of Americans use to sign up for insurance plans through the Democrat’s signature health care law.

Musk walked down the stairs and just left his four year old behind. People need to educate themselves about narcissism and sociopaths. Trump and Musk don't care about their own children much less the voters.

Not you in particular, but I really wish we the people would stop referring to programs designed to help people of modest means, especially those we paid into with our own taxes, as "entitlements". It sounds too much like the word "entitled", as in "entitled assholes who are deserve of it." I believe it leaves a negative connotation with people, and when Republicans spit the word out as an epithet, that makes it easy for them to get support for reducing or eliminating them from the very people who benefit from them.

As canned a response as it gets

And doesn't answer the question, unless it's a response to 'tell me you didn't read my letter without telling me you didn't read my letter.'

I just assumed he was using the child as a human shield, in case somebody wanted to take a shot at him or something.

Meanwhile, investors have decided Musk is now worth $73B less than they thought he should be worth at his post election peak. He wasn't on the ballot but folks are voting on him with their money. (TSLA down $27 today)

I had to resist tossing my dog’s excrement onto a Tesla tonight.  It’s probably not enough to be worried that my neighbor will see me do that.
