gehringer_2 Posted March 14 Posted March 14 starting to see a lot of IONIQs. Hyundai seems to be doing well with that. Quote
Motown Bombers Posted March 14 Posted March 14 When I was at Meijer a few weeks ago, I saw both a Cybertruck and a Rivian in the parking lot. The Rivian is just so much more practical and well thought out. The Cybertruck is so impractical. 1 Quote

CMRivdogs Posted March 14 Posted March 14 I had to chuckle. We pulled into our local distillery for a tasting. There was a Tesla parked there with a sticker “I know, but it’s paid for” I gave it a pass. They were tourists 1 Quote

People—overwhelmingly bros, I assume—don’t buy it because it’s a well-thought out, well-constructed, well-performing vehicle. They buy it because they like the guy and believe in the guy and want to show they support the guy. Quote

You have to be a special kind of asshat to want to drive that. It is only 3% nationally. I don't even know what a Tesla looks like except for those ugly trucks. Edited March 15 by Tiger337 Quote

Aside from now having Musk's stink attached to it, the style of the Y, the most common one, has not aged well IMO. Looks like an aging starlet that's done too much collagen. Another brand that does the red as well as this is Mazda. The Miata in that color is dazzling. From what I know from my friends who do seats, everything is just jobbed from sub-contractors who are told not to report who they are selling it to because Musk likes secrecy. They don't have specifications to provide to the sub contractors, they just ask "what will work? Sell us that." His recent actions in the federal government confirm that paranoiac and slipshod management style. Quote
romad1 Posted March 15 Author Posted March 15 i mean That is a pretty red. Its as good a the lipstick on a 1940s pinup model. Quote

That's because it reminds me of the classic Opel GT. Very pretty and apparently a great driving car but is so impractical. I see one at my shooting range and I see the guy pulling his rifle case out of the passenger seat. I asked him about the trunk and he says...barely able to put groceries in there. And on Michigan roads prior to the most recent fixes, fuguttabout it. Quote

Most reasonable people would question his weird word choices here. CMRivdogs Posted March 18 Posted March 18 These 20 something ashats doing Elon and Trump's bidding expect people to text Social Security? It's already hard enough to get them on the phone. Between this and the ignoring of the courts, illegal deportations and dissing Republican appointed judges ...... I'd continue but have a cruise next week and don't want to run afoul of the Brown Shirts, yet Quote
