I don’t think Max Clark has a problem with cold weather. And I didn’t realize what an all-around athlete Max Clark is. He even pitched in his sophomore year in high school, achieving a 0.84 ERA and 120 strikeouts over fifty innings. In his senior year, he was also awarded the Gatorade Best Player of the Year, as the best high school athlete regardless of sport, joining past winners such as Kyler Murray, Bobby Witt Jr. and LeBron James.

The chances Max Clark gets promoted to the Tigers this season is approximately zero, ±0.

They’re getting close to breaking his glass case because of the health emergency.

The way Avila broke the Tork glass case?

That's, what, 22 strikeouts per 9 innings pitched? Cy Clark! 😅

Yeah, that's a valid point.  What I never understood about Torkelson's debut was, if a 1B is MLB ready with that Tiger squad, why is he hitting 7th/8th in the lineup?

Maybe because Avila forced Tork onto the active roster and Hinch didn't agree with it and/or think Tork wasn't ready for middle of the order.

If you look at Torks MiLB stats, he never achieved contact rates that would properly have justified being called up to face tougher pitching. Then his success with the long ball short circuited any  pressure on him to continue working on being a technically better hitter. If that's what he accomplished this off-season (which we hope!) maybe we've got the guy we should have gotten in '24.

I would just like to see them play Keith at 2b at least enough for him to keep working on getting better there just because every bat is more valuable at a more premium defensive position.

Frank Robinson trivia;

On June 26, 1970, Robinson hit back-to-back grand slams in the fifth and sixth innings in the Orioles' 12–2 victory over the Washington Senators. The same runners were on base both times: Dave McNally was on third base, Don Buford was on second, and Paul Blair was on first.

almost weirder than two GS was that a Pitcher was on base two consecutive times.

Aaron Judge hit 3 HRs in the first 4 innings today and just missed hitting a 4th in the 5th inning but had to settle for a double. It's still in the 7th inning so he may have another shot at getting his 4th.
