IdahoBert Posted March 27 Posted March 27 I don’t think Max Clark has a problem with cold weather. And I didn’t realize what an all-around athlete Max Clark is. He even pitched in his sophomore year in high school, achieving a 0.84 ERA and 120 strikeouts over fifty innings. In his senior year, he was also awarded the Gatorade Best Player of the Year, as the best high school athlete regardless of sport, joining past winners such as Kyler Murray, Bobby Witt Jr. and LeBron James. That's, what, 22 strikeouts per 9 innings pitched? Cy Clark! 😅 1 Quote

Maybe because Avila forced Tork onto the active roster and Hinch didn't agree with it and/or think Tork wasn't ready for middle of the order. Edited Friday at 01:52 PM by chasfh Quote

If you look at Torks MiLB stats, he never achieved contact rates that would properly have justified being called up to face tougher pitching. Then his success with the long ball short circuited any pressure on him to continue working on being a technically better hitter. If that's what he accomplished this off-season (which we hope!) maybe we've got the guy we should have gotten in '24. I would just like to see them play Keith at 2b at least enough for him to keep working on getting better there just because every bat is more valuable at a more premium defensive position. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted Friday at 11:14 PM Posted Friday at 11:14 PM Frank Robinson trivia; On June 26, 1970, Robinson hit back-to-back grand slams in the fifth and sixth innings in the Orioles' 12–2 victory over the Washington Senators. The same runners were on base both times: Dave McNally was on third base, Don Buford was on second, and Paul Blair was on first. 1 Quote

RandyMarsh Posted Saturday at 07:35 PM Posted Saturday at 07:35 PM Aaron Judge hit 3 HRs in the first 4 innings today and just missed hitting a 4th in the 5th inning but had to settle for a double. It's still in the 7th inning so he may have another shot at getting his 4th. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted Saturday at 07:48 PM Posted Saturday at 07:48 PM (edited) so is it my display settings or has MLB gameday dropped the HR column from their box scores? Edited Saturday at 07:48 PM by gehringer_2 Quote

monkeytargets39 Posted Sunday at 08:07 PM Posted Sunday at 08:07 PM They’re going to need to ban those Yankees bats. This is getting ridiculous Quote

chasfh Posted Sunday at 09:46 PM Posted Sunday at 09:46 PM I think it’s more likely everyone gets the bats. 1 Quote
