chasfh Posted yesterday at 01:30 PM Posted yesterday at 01:30 PM I have just taken what I think is actually a pretty good survey by MLB about my fandom, and I have provided my most salient opinion. 3 Quote

I dont know where the survey is, but My answers on these questions are the same as yours. I especially hate seeing the betting odds on the bottom of the tv screen. 1 Quote
oblong Posted yesterday at 02:00 PM Posted yesterday at 02:00 PM I will say the Tigers give out surveys to ticket holders and they seem to be responsive. At least to things I've pointed out. (being able to buy into special ticket promotions, for example on Polish Day you buy tickets and get a hat. I already have tickets. Let me just pay extra to get a hat). I bitched about the 6:40 start times. They are partially doing away with that this year. This year my complaint is they gave me too many Monday games. I have the Friday package which means you get every Friday game, plus random games during the week. (1/3 of the season). 7 times I will have a Friday/Monday set. Maybe some people like the consistency? I do not. Quote

But I just realized we didn't make it to any games last season so maybe I'm off the list. We did catch a couple games in ST last month but maybe that doesn't count. Quote

Oh, no doubt. My educated professional guess is they are using the survey to create marketing materials to present to current and potential corporate partners. Quote

I especially hate seeing the betting odds on the bottom of the tv screen. That is the exact reason why Fanduel is even worse than bally. The screen is messy at the bottom the same way, and at least half of what they show down there are prop bet odds. It's even more aggravating because Tigers had a chance to cast their broadcast lot with MLB, who run a clean screen that's free of gambling detritus. The Guardians, Twins, Rangers, D-Backs and Padres have all abandoned Bally/FanDuel and hooked up with MLB, and that could have been us. Edited yesterday at 02:35 PM by chasfh 1 Quote

I guess the cut in the payout from Bally to FanDuel was still less than going with MLB. In an ironic way we end up being punished for being better (more advertising value) fans. Quote
chasfh Posted yesterday at 05:56 PM Posted yesterday at 05:56 PM The beauty of baseball’s everydayness is such that nearly every team will have their pitching ace working on a Wednesday during which eleven of the games are day games. Quote

I don’t even open those survey links anymore. One of the first questions that they ask is your age. Being a realist, I know they don’t give a **** what a 70 year old fan thinks. Quote

The first question I usually see in these surveys are, “How much would you recommend [Our Product] to a friend?” It’s the most useless question they could ask when it comes to true product feedback, but the most valuable to marketing efforts.
