Sports_Freak Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Pistons were down 10 mid-2nd quarter. Since then, we've blown them away. Up 21 starting the 4th. Quote
buddha Posted February 22 Posted February 22 vic is out for the season. san antonio misses the playoffs and gets cooper flagg. rinse. repeat. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted February 22 Posted February 22 First time Pistons won at the Spurs since the infamous SVG "FORM an F'n WALL" game. Quote
Hart Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Bummer that Victor was not able to play because it would have been a good reality check for Duren. Duren is showing some nice growth but I want to see more of it against good teams and good players. We got Atlanta and then three tougher games. I am looking forward to those. I did not watch the game last night but I am becoming more a believer in the Pistons being an actual threat to win a playoff series. Ausar's growth is the biggest factor. But then also going from Sasser to Schroder is a nice upgrade for us also. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted February 22 Posted February 22 I'll tell ya what, the Pistons are a great story. Top 4 is not out of the question here. Home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs. This has been a fantastic turnaround. It seems like they are maybe one really good player away from elite status the way they are going now. J.B. Bickerstaff should be a finalist for Coach Of The Year. He won't win it because there are two teams at 45-10, but he's done a great job. Cunningham is a superstar, and you don't hear about anything other than basketball with him. Duren is turning into a well-rounded player (he still has plenty of detractors, but keep in mind that he just turned old enough to drink 3 months ago. Malik's a fun player that brings energy, a fan-favorite type of guy and I think that Thompson is starting to click. This is fun. Too bad they have no more games against Indiana. Pretty silly scheduling, to go the last 35 games without playing a division rival. But that may be good since the Pacers seem to have their number. It's nice to care about them again. I don't like what the NBA has turned into, it's hard to root for many players anymore. I liked the NBA a lot more when it was actually about basketball. 1 1 Quote
RandyMarsh Posted February 22 Posted February 22 That Duren lob is only missing a helpless Brandon Knight trying to block it and it would look just like that famous DeAndre Jordan dunk. Maybe not quite the same elevation though. 1 Quote

They have two shots if the Hawks miss the playoffs. They have their pick unprotected this year. The Spurs are sitting on a ton of future draft capital. If they don't move up they should unload some for Dylan Harper. He is the perfect type of player to pair with Victor. Quote

Hypothetically if they end up with 2 of the top 4 picks but its not number 1 would you deal them both to get Flagg? Or is there not enough difference between him and the next guys to justify that?
