Hongbit Posted Friday at 01:25 PM Posted Friday at 01:25 PM (edited) Do you think he buys, sells, or does nothing today? I think he should be looking to sell but will be buying. The standings say they are still in the playoff hunt but they have a tough schedule and many teams to overcome for just 2 wc spots. Any other GM in the league would be concerned about their job status and would 100% be buying to try to save their job. Since Yzerman has a special relationship with Chris, I don’t think his job is one the line at all. Edited Friday at 01:31 PM by Hongbit Quote
buddha Posted Friday at 02:00 PM Posted Friday at 02:00 PM i dont think they do much. maybe fiddle around the margins. Quote
buddha Posted Friday at 02:00 PM Posted Friday at 02:00 PM i expect them to be active in the free agent market this year, but not to be giving away assets at this trade deadline. Quote

buddha Posted yesterday at 02:09 AM Posted yesterday at 02:09 AM terrible turnover by larkin leads to a shorthanded goal for washington. Quote
slothfacekilla Posted yesterday at 02:11 AM Posted yesterday at 02:11 AM Awful start for the third. Talbot should have had that shorthander. Quote
buddha Posted yesterday at 02:11 AM Posted yesterday at 02:11 AM and just like that its 3-2. chychrun can take the puck and wander right into a great area, tarasenko is just standing and watching him skate, and he puts one past talbot. terrible. time for some draft prospect previews! Quote
lordstanley Posted yesterday at 02:11 AM Author Posted yesterday at 02:11 AM Caps score early in the 3rd and the Wings trail 3-2. Scorer is Chychrun, another player that with some creativity the Wings probably could have acquired in the past year or two. Quote

slothfacekilla Posted yesterday at 02:16 AM Posted yesterday at 02:16 AM Shameful third period by the wings after playing so well in the first half of the game Quote
buddha Posted yesterday at 02:17 AM Posted yesterday at 02:17 AM great passing by the caps and its 4-2. another soft one from talbot. Quote
lordstanley Posted yesterday at 02:17 AM Author Posted yesterday at 02:17 AM 4-2. Nice shot, but Talbot MUST start stopping those. Quote
buddha Posted yesterday at 02:17 AM Posted yesterday at 02:17 AM who knew one injury to andrew copp would result in a total team collapse. Quote
buddha Posted yesterday at 02:22 AM Posted yesterday at 02:22 AM the wings were up 2-1 with a two minute power play and 5 minutes later youre losing 4-2. Quote
lordstanley Posted yesterday at 02:25 AM Author Posted yesterday at 02:25 AM 5-2. Shorthanded goal. Total collapse. This week, this month. Quote
Tigerbomb13 Posted yesterday at 02:26 AM Posted yesterday at 02:26 AM Woof. This team just gives up at this time every year. Quote
buddha Posted yesterday at 02:26 AM Posted yesterday at 02:26 AM another shorthanded goal. another TERRIBLE PLAY BY GUSTAFFSON, as he fails to keep the puck in and no one bothers to cover for him leads to a breakaway. abaolutely pathetic 3rd period from the usual suspects. Quote
lordstanley Posted yesterday at 02:39 AM Author Posted yesterday at 02:39 AM My daughter arrived home from college for spring break last Thursday. The Wings have gone 0-5 while she's home. Good news (only from a Wings' perspective), she returns to Montreal later tonight! Our luck might turn. Quote

Shinzaki Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago (edited) The annual signs that spring is coming...the buzzards come back, the frogs start calling and the Wings tank their way out of playoff contention. Will this be the year we get some lottery luck? Be nice to get a crack at an explosive scorer like Michael Misa As it sits right now..there are 7 guys on this team I'd like to see next year. Raymond, Larkin, Kasper, Cat, Mo, Edvinsson and Johansson...maybe 8 if you think Elmer belongs. The rest of them? Meh... Edited 22 hours ago by Shinzaki 1 Quote
buddha Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago i do wonder what they could have gotten for rasmussen this deadline. third line centers were going for first and second rounders... Quote
