I don't have a preference, but the flip side is that he would benefit from facing major league hitters.  The team would also get a draft pick if he accrues one year of service time and wins Rookie of Year.

Any minor league pitches for Jobe this year are wasted pitches.

All MLB: bullpen/ starter/ or otherwise.

Skubal-Jack-Olsen-Jobe-Mize. I am confirming this today.

I’m pretty confident Jobe will come in as a fourth starter, and that the fifth slot will be up to Mazda or Mize to win it. I think Mazda is the favorite since, believe it or not, Mize is still optionable.

Crazy thought but Maeda's strikeout #'s/9 seem to indicate possible late inning reliever if he can maintain 91-92. I think he could end up in short relief.
